Agree with this - a few versions ago the ffb on DD" was a revelation but it somehow didn't translate into the public build

Can you share your file, pls. Found many lines with 'scrub' (within Scrub FX heading, and above as well) and might remove incorrect ones

 

Its just this bit in the FFB custom setting file in your My documents folder

What effect did these lines have on the actual FFB?

 

They make the left side 50% less sensitive.
This affects everything. Balance feel is far less, details and bump feel the same.
It basically made the whole thing more dead. It simply killed those files.
They were a leftover from a brief debug session....

Looked at it, and it's a small fix, change this:
(acc_dec_scale (+ 1 (* 0.5 acc_dec_feel (/ (- (smooth vel_mag 0.1) vel_mag) (max 0.02 vel_mag)))))

To this:

(acc_dec_scale (+ 1 (* 0.5 acc_dec_feel (/ (- (smooth vel_mag 0.1) vel_mag) (max 2 vel_mag)))))

I will post this in a new file later as well.

It also adjusts the lightness on acceleration to be slightly less.

 

Will they provide more setting for ffb even a lut file support? Current settings don’t allow any fine tuning.

 

Would be nice, but so far nothing has really been done to support any customization except not actually removing the custom ffb option completely.
No idea what Reiza's strategy/politics is on it, and I think we'll only know in quite a while, since either way they are buried in work for now

 

Thank you for your interest in helping me, unfortunately despite having taken a new file, the steering wheel starts to shake and swing. If I put my hands on it stops. However, this forces me to never leave the wheel. :-(

How high do you have the Lfb slider?

What profile do you use on TRUE DRIVE?

 

Very low filters.
Minimal recon 1.
Friction 5% or so.

Please try lower Lfb.
Is your steering wheel a very light or heavy type?

 

hi quick question with the newest files which by the way did fix the weird feel i had after the latest AMS2 updates thankyou. However, I now have an issue with over-rotation. I have had this in the past but AMS2 seemed to have more or less resolved the issue however it is back. Is there anything in you file that may affect this ?

Nothing to do ... same settings with default profile, when stopped the steering does not vibrate, custom profile starts vibrating continuously ...
