Hi to all at Reiza. Thankyou for AMS2, absolutely loving it. We have a weekly get together to race ( have 4 rigs in a room ). We're still using AMS1in that situation as it has a LAN option. Would love to use AMS2 but cant work out how to set it up for a LAN connection. Is it possible? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
If you want to host form the client you can set private/friends only mode and invite the other clients from the lobby screen. (assuming they each have a separate steam user) If you'd like to have join in progress etc then running the dedicated server with with 'sportsplay' option set to true will not register it with steam for public joining and only clients that know the ip/port can join. Adding Code: -sportsplay serverip:port to the launch options for each client will make your sportsplay server appear at the first position in the server list if a connection can be made to it.
