Really good update. I think allowing people who don't own certain DLC to still race in lobbies is a great move and will prevent fracturing between DLC owners and non DLC owners.

Hopefully an improvement comes to custom grids and we can move away from the 4 group limitation and have more control over which cars are on the grid.

Update 2021-03-10: I've actually kind of changed my mind on this. I'm not usually so knee jerk in my responses like this. I'm not wrong that this "cheats" people who paid the higher price but now I feel more generous and it's not such a big deal. As my last paragraph below said, it's small now, but my objections would come back depending on how much this starts happening and if the scale keeps increasing.

As a recent purchaser of the game and season pass, I'm concerned about this:

If I'm reading this right, the first part devalues my purchases. How are we being compensated for this?

The second part sounds smart - let people use content for free in multiplayer to increase the userbase and create a better experience for all.

But the first part just feels wrong. Like you're stealing. Not a big amount but still you're stealing value from people who have already purchased.

Joining as a backer cost me a bit more then dlc. I am OK with others having access to tracks in MP and pre-set championships. Those tracks won't be available in time trial, testing, single player and customisable championships though.

I was actually talking about the 956 (as #2 was Bellof's car), but I would gladly take that one as well! :D

Yeah, me too, quite happy with how it is if it's for the greater good of the game. It's like being able to test drive those tracks and you can then buy them to unlock fully, everybody wins.

Hi. I’m returning to the world of PC sims in the New Year. After plenty of research AMS2 looks to be the best fit for my needs.

I’m a particular fan of 80’s/90’s motorsport, be it sportscars, single-seaters, touring cars, rally(cross). So the Reiza teams passion for this era is great to see. Group C/IMSA GTP tops my favourites list - so hoping to see multiple cars in this class.

Looking forward to seeing what AMS2 brings in the coming year(s).

Not a fair move towards early adopters to partly make dlc content available for free. This content is still pretty fresh. Gives me not a good feeling.
If I could I would give AMS2 back.

Every sale kinda devalues your purchase, do you expect any compensation as well?;)

Disappointed to hear the custom championships are not in this update. This is my most anticipated feature since I can really put significant time into each car.

This doesn't change the value of what YOU bought... Reiza doesn't take any content away from you.
Talking of stealing and wanting a refund for that is a little too much, IMO.

    That doesn't follow. Purchasers didn't get something I didn't.

I'm a little disappointed in the free DLC as an early backer but I understand it. There's a need to grow the player base and if we're being honest the title isn't successful at its current pricing level so the options are to discount heavily or include some of the content for free for non-multiplayer members. I think it may help a small amount in growing the community, so that's fine.

I am still hoping for more improvements on the physics side of things, but i'm going to assume that work continues on behind the scenes which is why we don't see any mention of it in the roadmap.
