Renault Sport R.S. 01 great car, really wish they add that one in.
Indycars, but those should already be in the racing usa pack. I also hope a corvette in that pack. since its the indy pace car on some races.

Another really really good addition to the game would be a FWD modern spec car like WTCC 2020, it would really be great its something missing from AMS so far.
It does not need to be licenced, a fictional model like the formulas we have would already be awesome.

Avoiding brands that are knowingly difficult or expensive (relatively), so no Fiat Group, Lamborghini, Aston Martin or Toyota/Lexus - there are already way more classes planned than I have any need for, so only wishing for things inside those

GT3: BMW M6, Audi R8, Mercedes AMG, McLaren 720S, Porsche 911 - hopefully one or two more, but whatever they have I hope it’s the most recent versions and not the PCARS models

GT4: BMW M4, Audi R8, Mercedes AMG, McLaren 570S, Porsche 718, Chevrolet Camaro (USA DLC), Ford Mustang (USA DLC)

70s Touring Cars: BMW 3.0 CSL, Ford Capri RS3100, Porsche RSR

    Formula Vintage: McLaren M7

Group C: unfortunately there’s no way to cover any interesting Group C period (WSC or IMSA GTP) properly without Jaguar (late 80s) or Toyota (early 90s) so fingers crossed for some licensing miracles in this area to add to Porsche and Mercedes possibles.

And any other historic cars than can be wedged into existing classes in a similar way to how licensed cars are being added to the Retro and Vintage formula classes (personal preference for classes is deeper rather than wider)

That said, let’s go full on ‘wish’ list for a confirmed car class:

GT1 (1997): Mercedes CLK, McLaren F1 Long Tail, Porsche 911 GT1, Lotus Elise GT1 - just because all those manufacturers are already confirmed in some context - Panoz Esperante GTR-1, Nissan R390

Right, I’m done, back to the real world...

...so if that list is correct, which I suspect some of it might not happen due to licensing, that's pretty much all of the cars from Project Cars 2 - which is crazy. Some of this may be "placeholder" content that hasn't been removed yet, so I suggest caution until content is actually confirmed, rather assuming all cars for all the custom liveries listed will actually make it into AMS 2.
...I'd just be happy with the Group C cars, but the more the merrier, assuming the quality is high.
Looking at it more, I think what I'm saying is highly unlikely, as the list of custom livery textures really looks like the full list of Pcars 2 content and given what's already in the game, I can't imagine is all being ported. I can't see any other files for any of this stuff, other than the custom liveries folder, so i'm going to go with what has been said to date in terms of Group C cars being confirmed and other content from Pcars 2 may or may not get ported too. There's definitely a big list of cars that could be ported, assuming Reiza want to though.

Seeing as it involves everything from the Ferraris to the historic Indycars I think you’re spot on that it’s just leftovers from PCARS unfortunately.

    Yep - my thoughts exactly.
I let the excitement get to me for a minute, posted, then thought - that just can't be right.
I checked the folder location about 5 times to make sure I hadn't somehow ended up looking at the Pcars 2 custom textures folder instead, but I actually uninstalled Pcars 2 a couple of weeks ago for the second and final time.
...funny that those files are even present at all - but at the end of the day, I'll be happy just getting a couple of free Group C cars, so anything else is really just a bonus to me.

Yes I will vote for these two as well. Mostly because I am thinking of buying one and it would be great to test them out first in the game.

Not sure if recommending other titles is considered rude here, but Assetto Corsa contains both Miata and Toyota GT86 (not as mods - genuinely provided by Kunos) if you want to try them out. Just wait for sale and take them for a spin (not literally!) or a test drive.

I too like the close racing hence my interest in the Lancer, Mini and Trainer and agree with comments from @DaWorstPlaya and @Pacchia.

So for me, I would really love to see modern BTCC, Renault Clio Cup and Ginetta Junior.
