Ah, "change_of_balance_feel" can be adjusted up to get the feeling of balance changing. Around 0.5 it should be very clearly felt.

    Hi,
first thanks for all the time/work you have put into these ffb custom settings.
    fantastic improvement.

now my question from a geek perspective.
I'm trying to understand how these ffb files work.
obviously the file is read at game startup, stored as some function
    i assume

lets me first ask , at the end of the script we have "(histogram output)", is this output use for the internal ffb
or can it be output to a file and read at a later date.

further is there any documentation as to how all this hangs together.

    Best Regards
    Ian.

    Hi Ian,

The histogram output is used only in-game and cannot be output to a file in any way I know.
There is no documentation for how the different files work, other than what's in the files already, but me and others are happy to answer any questions you might have.

    Best,

    -K

@Karsten Hvidberg Thanks man! I'm going to give racing a go again here in the next few days when I find the time, as the sensitivity in my finger is to a manageable level, pain wise. Never crush the end of a pinky finger...just don't do it. Looking forward to trying out your newest file to see what you've got going now!

These new GT1 cars and Spa (not to mention I barely got to run the Nordschleife before the accident) - there's a ton of new content I'm ready to get my hands on these days!

Of Karsten's new files, which one is the one recommended one for a T300? High Mid or Low?

It's intended to be "mid", but it's a matter of taste between them. High might work well for you. Low has some old-school tighten that I am not sure is good for anything but g-series wheel bases.

quick one lap test with Mclaren F1gtr around spa.
    Mid file untouched.
This could be the GOAT . ( greatest of all time)

I now regret o_O working on a little project all day yesterday that ended with very similar feel ,but untamed road bumps coming from reiza rack and no adaptability to kerbs .
Time to shelve all other files and just get on with racing I feel. :D

Hey Kuku..Can you please tell us what settings you use in the Thrustmaster control pannel AND your ingame FFB settings?

    Best regards,

I haven’t dialed this in yet as stuff to do.
But my general settings are :
    Tm 75,100,100,0,0

    gain 30-40
    Lfb 40-50
    Fx 20-30
    Damp 50

my gain might be lower than most as I like a light informative wheel than I control rather than it driving me.

First of all, thank you so much for all the work you do here. This goes above and beyond!

I was hoping to try these but I'm having an issue from version 30 onwards on my Fanatec DD1.

Whenever I'm not holding the wheel I get severe oscillations back and forth that I have to turn the wheel base off to stop as I can't grab the wheel without breaking something.

Any ideas what might be causing this or a fix I could apply?

What are your settings, both in fanatec stuff & in-game?

    @Donato & @Mikk Schleifer,

    Thank you & interesting,

We have a new version .36 on the way with multiple adjustments, corrections, more relaxed at center again & a new damping algo that kicks in at above 50% to kill oscillations almost completely for those that like the compromise. It's dynamic, so kicks in more by speed and downforce.

I will have to try .31 to see what might make that feel better than for example .34 for some.

    Best,

I’m scared to try anything else, 34 feels so great. The other 30s felt odd in comparison. So is there a trend of DD preference for pre 34 ?
Between 28 and 34 felt over rubbery and squishy for me.

Can you add some comments and hints in the txt file itself? So one can make assumptions and adjustments on the values directly, within the file, to wash away any unfavored effects for his personal taste.

Also I think the .34 Med File is the best FFB file so far .... ;)

Currently this approach continues to seem to me the best ... you first optimize the center of the wheel with the highest possible and tolerant LFB values (full and constant center at low and high speeds), then harden the wheel a little with low and/or medium GAIN values (values that are too high, albeit pleasant for many who love a hard steering wheel, expose to peak reactions and / or the pendulum effect that it is better not to have), it is seasoned with the desired FX effects, and finally, if necessary is dampened "as much as necessary" to homogenize everything.

    LogitechGHUB
    Default

    In game
    Gain 40-50
    Lfb 80-85
(even 100 sometimes if gain 40)
Fx 85 (does not disturb adds effects without anomalous peaks)
Damper 0 (I feel no need for damping, mi sembra homogenized and whitout peak)

Note: With a low GAIN I am very far from the limit of the steering wheel before clipping (even if cheap), I never have abnormal cropping and / or jolts, moreover the pendulum effect is minimized and limited only on very few cars that are almost always undriveable....

    Thank you..

Houston, this is my sensation for Logitech G920 (not very powerful and cheap), signing off!

I can't seem to post an image, so excuse the type out:

    In Game

Gain - Less than 35 (have tried over and above - if I go lower than this, there's almost no FFB)
    LFB: 50
    FX: 50

    Fanalab

    Sen: Auto
FF: 100% (as recommended in the instructions)
    LIN (Off)
    NDP: 22%
    NFR: 1%
    NIN: 6%
    INT: 2
    FEI: 100
    FOR: 100%
    SPR: 100%
    DPR: 100%

Would appreciate any help you can provide.

    Hey Jetglo,

It might be simple. The Lfb at 50% is very high for a dd1, start at 0, and then only slowly raise it from there.
I would think you normally should be in the 0-10% range.

    Hope this helps!
