I doubt F1 guys don't have a spotter on the start of the race at least, knowing when you are 3 wide makes so much difference in this moment...

In real life racers don't wear blinders* and have their heads locked in one position looking straight ahead. Most people have a one-monitor setup, and I've seen plenty of sim racers who have a problem with spatial awareness and are frequently oblivious when someone has pulled up right next them. I don't plan to use the spotter but I hope most people who have a problem with spatial awareness will also be self-aware enough to know they can benefit from the spotter. But as Rodders indicated above, most guys who lack spatial awareness indeed also lack self-awareness.

*In case there is a language barrier for anyone, these are blinders:

As a single screen user I can't attest to being that blind to my surroundings because its too easy to just keep a rearmirror at the top of the screen and bind the glance keys so I can use the mirrors. Its not hard to be aware with one screen.

However, as a single screen user I am so happy to have a spotter because its a major relief to that workload.

Can we have some commentary on this update? I apologise for my curiosity, but I'm a Formula V12 addict and its my most loved car so I always care about why things change with it.

Thanks for your work @gongo ! All this will really be handy in multiplayer: for the flags (some people do miss the small flag in the corner of their big screen or triples) and for the pits stops requests! :D

Isn't better to have a on/off button to the spotter rather than something temporary?

You are doing a very good job. Keep it up! As stated before, is good to have a choice to use/not use. Personally? I'll use it.

Good track choice at the beginning of the video ;)

    Hits "OFF"
"You wanna break up with me????? It's not how it works!" *spotter keeps talking*
    Hits "ON"
"So now you wanna listen to me???? " *spotter stays in silence*

Awesome job, would be really cool to be able to assign a volume up and down for the spotter as some cars are alot louder than others.

Can someone else confirm the game is ignoring any full course yellow setting you use (i.e. not freezing the grid, giving penalty for passing before the line, etc despite all this being set different). Seems like using only default, not good. :(
