So now that everyone has had more time with the camera settings, what is everyone settling on for Legacy Head Movement? Are you playing with it on or off? I keep going back and forth. I tend to drive faster lap times with Legacy ON, but camera feels very jittery on certain cars. With Legacy OFF, I like the "feel" of the car on the road, but seems a little floaty. I'm just curious if anyone has found good settings. I'm playing cockpit view, single monitor.
    thanks.

It's funny, people who know seem to use legacy on yet all YouTube"influences" run it off and make it look bouncy and floaty, looks bad imo.

Same here. Tested different settings and this looks the most natural to me.

Legacy On, 65, using TrackIR on a single 42" screen. Seems to be a good compromise where neither track nor cockpit bounce around like crazy.

Is legacy 25% the exact equivalent to the old default ? If not, what it must be set to exactly ?

Legacy NO (or off) and Head movement 100, (I'm no Youtube influencer ;))
To keep the horizon stable and the best camera on steep track parts and bumps.
    I'm always in cockpit view

This thread simply means no one can agree on anything and sim racing is highly a personal preference game (FFB, FOV, Best Car, Best track, etc...). :)

I know, some people will say that FOV should NOT be personal preference, and I agree... but to my first point, some people will have to disagree. ;)

I got my settings from somebody claiming to be smart.

Given that this setting is the "solution" for many who love and support the sim, seems like this needs a better name than "Legacy head movement.". That makes it sound like something you don't really want to use

I didnt say only YTers use it but most seem to  Everyone is free to use (and say) whatever they want. I only mentioned it because they (YTers) are what loads of people see and many seem to have the impression AMS2 is floaty, bouncy simulator and i don't think legacy Off helps that impression and when you ask AMS2 fans it seems a lot seem to use legacy On

Usually - at least to me - the term 'Legacy' has always implied its an old setting that one day will be removed and any future dev focus would only be on legacy = off, hence part of me thinks should I get used to using that setting?..

I thought the same thing and bitched a bit  If the legacy Off became the standard with no legacy On option AMS2 will be dead to me. I cant use it at any setting, i tried and i get sick very quickly.

I don't get motion sick in any way, not deep sea fishing, not VR, nothing has ever made me motion sick until that new head movement came out.

If legacy On goes away then sadly so do i, i just can't use AMS2 without it. So i would be requesting a refund and Reiza would have to give it. So i don't think they will remove the option, they may not adjust it again and just leave it there for folk like me but i don't think it would be a financially smart option to remove it.

It would be wise of Reiza to change the name from "Legacy" to something more descriptive. The older the sim gets, the more confusing this term will become.

There are 3 options, under USE LEGACY HEAD MOVEMENT
All the 3 numbers can be adjusted up to 100
But, what exactly are all those 3 options ??

Vertical = how much the cam bounces up or down cause of forces
Longnitudinal = how much you "body" bounces back and forth due breaking/on the gas
and the bilateral thing means= how much your body noves from side to side cause of g-forces
i set them VERTICAL to 20-25 LONGNI to 10-15 aaand BILATERAL to 25-40
so good, helps with the "feeling" of the car especially on Single screens imo.

"Off" means the sightline of the head stays the same at banking and during ondulations, as long as you set it to "0" in legacy or to "100" with legay "off" the head is glued to the car (steel neck), so most add around 20-25 and you got a little independent car movement on top. Also some G-Force additional (the faster and nimble the car the less) i tend to go for "slow" cars: V:20-25 Long:20-30 Lat:25-35 "fast car(formulaish": V: 15-18 Long: 15-18 Lat: 15-18 cheers
