Dear Reiza, One petpeeve of mine is that this website uses cookies and I can't disable them. Well I am running Ublock Origin, lots of filters and all that. According to new European laws and such every website needs a 'cookie-wall', so the visitor can customise which cookies they want, etc. Now there are tricks, like automatically delete all cookies when exiting the browser and such. Great. So a cookie wall, without the infamous green button would do the job. People can select what they want to share and such. Honestly I would disable all cookies but the registration and preferences. It's time for a change. No more Data-hoarding to Facebook and other companies a like. What can I do to make my life easier on Chrome, the new Edge and other Chrominium-based browsers Yours, Marius
EU Cookie Law -- Compliance? They need to first enable the cookies message on the XenForo Admin panel i guess
Well, seems the 'forum' isn't updated since 2016, so thats also explains all the Indian Spammers from time to time. Perhaps an idea to update it or looking for a new format/company to host the forum.
I wonder how much of their wonderful products have been sold as a result of their 'advertising' in this forum
Instead of installing a lot of different blockers I just use a rather simple method. I save the sites I use most as a file - and then with a simple text editor use some time to check out which hidden cookies and links these sites want to pour down to my HD. Then I collect these adresses and voila paste them into the host file on my PC. Next time I visit these sites then all these redirections are directed into my own PCs "black hole"(127.0.0.1) instead. An example of some of these adresses from my host file can be seen here: 127.0.0.1 ajax.googleapis.com 127.0.0.1 cdn.intergi.com 127.0.0.1 secure-ds.serving-sys.com 127.0.0.1 securepubads.g.doubleclick.com 127.0.0.1 tpc.googlesyndication.com 127.0.0.1 ajax.googleapis.com 127.0.0.1 accounts.google.com 127.0.0.1 platform.twitter.com 127.0.0.1 acdn.adnxs.com 127.0.0.1 paid.outbrain.com 127.0.0.1 images.outbrainimg.com 127.0.0.1 ams1-ib.adnxs.com 127.0.0.1 widgets.outbrain.com 127.0.0.1 swc.cdn.skype.com 127.0.0.1 a.lw.skype.com 127.0.0.1 lpcres.delve.office.com 127.0.0.1 google-analytics.com 127.0.0.1 cdnjs.cloudflare.com ByTheWay: Yeah a very few sites doesnt work afterwards because the site adm demands a fundamental redirection to a certain site (often some doubleclick shiit ) - but then I just laugh and goto another site
To tackle this I recommend using Adguard's DNS service: How to set up AdGuard DNS Just change addresses of DNS servers to Adguard's and there'sno need to maintain own lists.
@stealthradek Whau whau and doppel whau. I will quickly check this advice out. ByTheWay: The reason Im whau-ing is because it sounds extemely simple pour moi Because I use exactly this procedure - but just to set up using OpenDNS instead of MS´s default DNS. Hehe but OpenDNS has no ad filters.
I am now using Cloudfare 1.1.1.1 and Quad9 9.9.9.9 I am really interested in Pi-Hole, but I think I need someone who can guide me in real life. However, a great step for Reiza is to enable a cookiewall or just disable all cookies by default.
Okay now I'm curious. I always just hit accept and continue on....what am I giving away by allowing cookies?
Everything. Literally everyone, like google, youtube and facebook can see what you are doing. What you're buying, what you're watching, where your mouse-hovers on a page, etc etc, etc. edit: They make profiles and shadowprofiles of you. They know everything of you. Even what kind of pron you like to watch.
Similiar to the cookie issue: I have tested several times the google search lists I get when Im logged in or when Im not. And guess what? There is some sites I get when Im logged in and some others I get when Im not. And because I dont want this kind of "Big Brother" filtering when I search for something then I - yes - dont login. ByTheWay: Funny thing is that google allways only have so good arguments for allways loggin in. Ohh we just want to help you search blablabla.
I'm such an interesting person, like a international man of mystery They will get to know all my dirty little secrets I don't know what they are interested in me for If they want to waste their time on me then so be it As for what are Reiza doing about them cookies, i'm more interested in what they are doing about SimHub reading IMO tyre temps wrong because of they UDP / shared memory they are sending that what flavor cookies my PC has
Thats the first fault you make. You are interesting. Lets say you've a girlfriend, and meanwhile you watching pron all the time, chat with girls on snapchat all the time, or secretly have Grindr installed? They all have this written up in a (shadow)profile about you, etc etc. Lets say they can blackmail you about using Grindr. Telling ya buy our products or we tell your girlfriend, etc etc etc. Or you secrely love MyLittlePony, etc and what not. Or an new government takes over and want to ban all people who think different or a have a different sexual orientation, or eat lots of bread from a certain brand etc etc.. they have all the data I know this may sound ridiculous but it's a thing.
