Umm, not sure if you misspelled genitalia or gentle but you do know gentile means "non jewish", right? :D

Anyway, will be interesting to see how you feel about this file, i find it one of the best in a long time.

    @Karsten Hvidberg and whoever.

It's ok for me to follow instructions to set "default" at CP.
But, truly "default" or zeroed "spring" and "damper" as many people advices?

I know I can test for myself but what is the correct approach [edit: to custom files]?
    (A) The better for me? is it?

Not sure I understand completely what you mean.
Damper slider in the custom file is now powersteering, that reduces the resistance, or rather the build up resistance. So when you feel like the top-end torque is too much, increase this slider and then increase the gain to give you the overall force that you want, the force throughout the steering angles will become more even. I personally use 25-30.

In version 3.8, @Shadak is proposing to adjust "bump_feel_follow_weight" to:

    (bump_feel_follow_weight 0.30)

As it otherwise becomes quite harsh on bumpy tracks in f-cars.
We will make just this little adjustment + perhaps add what @Stakanov concludes reg. tighten, but that will be it(unless more comes to light) for a version 3.9.

    @Karsten Hvidberg @Shadak
They are both beautiful albeit with very subtle differences, here is my excitement about both:

In the first case you feel the nuance of tightening with an on-off effect (I don't know if placebo) passing through the 0 position !!

(output (if output (tighten output 0.004 0.0004) output))

In the second case tightening feels rounder and always present no matter where the forces are!!

    (output (tighten output 0.001 0.0001))

Taking into consideration also the future developments for the uses of the tighten and considering it can be modified at will by everyone and in a homogeneous way (like all the other items in the file) by increasing and/or decreasing the value, I would say in the first instance that: o_O

    I MUCH PREFER THE SECOND !!!! :)
    (output (tighten output 0.001 0.0001))

Love that file, nice detailed feeling. Just out of curiosity, in the Thrustmaster app, I have damper and spring set to 0. Would that be the correct setting for your file?

I run spring and damper at 0, I’ve done a few back to back comparisons and think is the best option. Occasionally I feel spring at say 20% is ok but it could be placebo.

I think so yes indeed yes ... it is recommended from AMS2 and for DDs to reset the damper, the inertia and the friction in the steering wheel driver panel (so I think it applies to you too) and use that of AMS2 ... ;)
In the case of the of the rFuctor the damping is set inside the file (because the damping slider in the game, using the custom file, is now the power steering) .... the spring is not used in the game but only in its menus if different from 0 .... I set it at 20% fot return the steering wheel to the center when I exit a race and go back to the game menu ;)

Edit: Sorry I had not seen that kuku had already answered you

The spring setting we are referring too is separate from return to center for TM. That has its own options, which is recommended to be set per game.

    3.9 Alpha2 pre @Karsten Hvidberg version
Tuned by Stakanov for LowEnd Whells and Logitech (G920/G29/G27/G25)
    - Date 01/05/2021 -
In game controller setting select "Custom" with this starting value:
    GAIN 80* - LFB 68 - FX 70 - DP 68.

*Then, in the car setting, use +/- % of Gain for car to taste!!

In this version i can raise the value in game, the sensation is very smoth, the effect is beatifull, for me it's perfect without modify the NEW tighten for DDs (AND I DON'T TRY TO RAISE THEN I ATTEND CONFIRM FROM PETER), i adopt @Shadak proposing to adjust "bump_feel_follow_weight" to 0.3 (right and i felt is not necessary disable suspension which for 3.7), the damping to 1.0, the center_full i can raise from 0.8 to 0.9 without disturb and relax to 0.2, the micro_bump don't disturb to original 0.6 ... KART IS OK NO PROBLEM ... EXCELLENT SENSATION, FULL, SMOTH ... I'M HAPPY AND IT CAN ONLY IMPROVE!!!

GOOD NIGHT TO ALL ... THANKS

This file works great for my CSL Elite. I intend to make a few minor changes (kerbs are too strong for example), and I found I needed to reduce LFB. I haven't had time to try other variants, but just wanted to pop in to say I like this file a lot -braking feel is particularly good.

Interesting - I'm on a CSL Elite too and this latest file felt superb with the immediate exception of the kerb feel. If you have a fiddle I'd be interested to know what you feel works. I lowered my LFB a tad too, now at 25.

Any advice from anyone on what to change as a good starting point? E.g. Kerbs bump scale or kerbs surface scale?

    I made these changes:

    (kerbs_surface_scale 1.3)
    (kerb_bump_scale 2.0)

If you open the file with a text editor like Wordpad, then find those lines (ctrl+f) you can adjust them as you like. They are annotated so you can see what they do. Annotations have a # in front of them. Remember to save the file & relaunch the game. HTH.

EDIT: I will probably do some more tinkering with those values^. I also changed this, but I may change them again:

    (master_rack 0.8) #Rack and road scale.

Have a look around the file. The annotations by Karsten are really explanatory.
