Not just in AMS2 but across all games/sims and IRL.

    Favourites:

One of my top tracks is Cadwell Park as it has a bit of everything; elevation changes, fast as well as tight corners and some decent straights, and I think it's the perfect layout for some casual club racing. This is often where I start when trying a new car for the first time. Same with Laguna Seca, Mugello and Donington.

    Least faves:

Present-day Silverstone - seriously, I need a GPS to find my way around there. I much, much prefer the 91-93 layout.

Monaco. There, I said it.. how can one be into F1 and not appreciate Monaco? On the driving side I can manage a bit of hotlapping without too many scratches and dings, but once the race is on I always end up breaking glass in some gobstopper shop, and on the telly I think it's just a boring race compared to Spa for example.

Cadwell is fine but too narrow for races. Oulton is the best for me. A bit of everything there too.

I like fast, natural tracks with good flow and elevation changes...
Therefore I hope that I will get the following tracks some day in AMS2:

    Zandvoort
    Portimao (Algarve)
    Mugello
    Monza (okay flat, but fast)

I love Cadwell Park but it’s just too tight for many cars, it just needs to be expanded like blowing up a balloon.

I enjoy tracks with elevation changes in particular so that makes places like Mount Panorama instant favourites but also means I’m in, seemingly, the minority by not liking Silverstone and Sebring so much. It’s like driving round a massive car park.

One of the things I like about AC is the access to so many fan made tracks, quality is obviously variable, but racing around tracks such as Deutschlandring and Reims is fantastic.

Have spent pretty much the entire weekend at Portimao on AC. Simply a wonderful track.

    Favourites:
Historic Österreichring (Spielberg) - many fond memories :)
Modern Imola - My go-to testing track for cars and for finding baseline setups since the early days of Assetto Corsa.
Historic Monaco - The old chicane after the tunnel and the ramp at Tabac are excitingly dangerous even in a sim.

    Dislikes:
Snetterton - Very disjointed and therefore doesn't flow very well.
Algarve - Too wide and too boring.
Modern Monaco - Too narrow for anything modern to race there. Also modern Rascasse.

    Favorites:

    1) Curvelo--love racing GT3/4 and the stock cars there in AMS2. No super-long boring straightaways but at the same time it's not impossibly difficult to keep the car on the track. It's also a track where spending time on setup is rewarding.

    2) Kyalami--do a 24 hour accelaerated clock race there. It's just stunning.

    3) Sonoma--Have raced all kinds of cars there in Raceroom and have a blast every time.

    Least Favorite:

    1) Silverstone--for some reason I'm just not that fast here in any sim.

    2) Brands Hatch--I do fine at this track; just don't find it to be that fun.

    3) Rovals. Don't really enjoy the Daytona or Indianapolis road courses in R3E. I'd rather have proper road course or a proper oval.

Most overrated track IMO: Imola. It's a nice circut--nothing against it. I don't understand its popularity, however.

Most underrated: Paul Ricard. Not saying it's a great track (and it is darn ugly), but it actually is a rather challenging track to get right and I always have good racing there in F1, Raceroom, and ACC.

I do enjoy some of these flowing Brazilian tracks , specially the ones with lots of undulating banked turns.

Sakitto is one of my favourites in other sims.

most overated track around is Silverstone , it’s too flat and lacks features and landmarks. it’s very easy to forget which layout your on.
Paul Richard is another I don’t like , I’m happy not to have it in Ams2.

my boggie track is Imola.. doesn’t matter how many times I run it, I forget that second blind chicane every other lap.

I agree Cadwell is perhaps a bit too cramped for racing anything powerful, but it's alright for Caterhams, Formula Fords and such.

Afterthought chicanes sometimes ruin the flow of a layout IMO, like on Monza and Imola. I prefer tracks that are well-thought-out from the get-go like Mugello and Velo Città where once you 'get it', longer races become an almost meditative experience.

You're definitely not alone. Cadwell - I can see the appeal, but those really tight sections are a pain, unless you're driving a really nimble single seater. I also find Silverstone to be a bit of a snooze-fest, but again - I can see the appeal of it - but for some reason I don't really like the flow.

Favourites off the top of my head are the Nurburgring 24H layout, Bathurst, Historic versions of Imola, Interlagos, Kyalami & Oulton Park, Pukekohe, Manfeild Park, Hampton Downs, Teretonga & Highlands (last 5 are NZL tracks) and the Historic version of Interlagos. Willow Springs, Road Atlanta, Road America and Watkins Glen are four American tracks I enjoy.

Tracks I dislike - really tight tracks, with too many sharp corners - where you're alternating all the time between hard acceleration, then slowing right down again. The main ones I can think of are Macau & possibly Long Beach. I also think Laguna Seca's a bit overrated - but I can still make these fun by driving small, nimble single seaters (although there's a couple of sections in Macau that are pretty much single file). I don't really like modern Monaco either - unless I was to use something really small like a 250cc Super Kart.

In general - I enjoy the Brazilian tracks in AMS 2 (that I've driven so far). Cascavel, Curitiba, Goiania and Taruma are all fun.
The only track I've been on in real life is Manfeild Park on a 250 2 stroke motorcycle and it was fun, but the brake bumps into corners were eye opening (caused by racing trucks).

    I real
I really think Pukekohe ( properly scanned) would be a hit in this game especially with gt4s and stock cars.
    Hampton downs would be also.

Long beach is actually quite flowing for a street track i think . much better than adelaide.

For those that aren’t keen on the modern Monaco, give it a try in AMS2 with the 1965 Mini Coopers. Maybe I’m wearing rose tinted glasses as someone whose first car was an old Mini - but I’ve had an absolute hoot ragging those around there in full grid races. Massenet into Casino, Tabac and through the swimming pool complex are so much fun.

I agree with all your comments. My very slight dislike of Long Beach is borderline - I think it's good in the right cars - but you need to make sure you get your lines just right.

Re: the NZL tracks (esp Pukekohe) - the best version I've seen to date is the rFactor 2 version made by Engineering Consult (as part of a package to replicate the NZ Toyota F3 Series).
I'm not sure if it's laser scanned.
Either way it's free and you can find their selection of NZ tracks on this steam page: Steam Community :: Engineering Consult GmbH :: Workshop Items
