I'am not quite happy what I heard in the video, particulary the need for a new PC to play AMS 2.0. I was quite happy that this rather old egine made the Sim run well at high setting on my old PC.

It's more than likely that that was just simply him desiring a new PC to get the most out of the new update, although I (and I'm sure many others) are hopeful that performance can stay where it is now or possibly even recieve further optimisation

AMS 2 is not gonna change engine so the system requirements are obviously not gonna change.
EDIT: Ups, meant to reply to McClutch

It is not changing engine but Shadows have been pushed up a whole level (new Low = current Medium, new High = current Ultra, etc) so while not requiring a new machine, you need to keep shadows into account as they will push your PC harder. For those running Low shadows, it might mean they need to be turned off if the performance hit is too big.

So presumably there is a noticeable improvement in new Ultra shadows? I will be a very happy bunny if the shimmery shadows have been at least partly eradicated.

So far there was a bug anyway that the ultra setting used less resources for shadows than low and medium. It was the same with pCARS2.

It's only fun if you are in that group of say, half a dozen cars out of twenty something that have somehow evaded death...

Ok so Caddillac was just not included in the preview package, I won't expect it will be included in Simracing 604 preview coming in few hours then.

Really excited for this DLC, love GTEs and DPi... IMSA in general. Great track selection. I hope they include MOSPORT or Road America in the next DLC

I'm so pumped up for multiclass. We've had a AC season in our league with GTE and DPi, it was so fun, and I know it would be better with AMS2 weather system

The big question is, will we have to wait for dpi to get finished in order to get our paws on gte cars or will it be a partial release? Gte and tracks tomorrow, dpi later...

The way i read it is that the cadillac might be a mid month release, the other cars and tracks will be in the dlc at the start

He says "update is out 31st" not dlc. I guess we'll find out tomorrow if we'll get the dlc too.
