Amazing work guys. Feels awesome! The flexibility of the 4 sliders is very good too- I can dial it in just how I like it.
Just wanted to feed that back :)

I have been playing around with isKart section in rFuctor 4.4 as i did not like the defaults in there, I have turned down the road effect and orversteer , turned up rack friction and micro bumps.

This has only been tested on a 250 Superkart, with my SC2 Pro see attched image for Truedrive setup .
    in game settings
    Gain = 35
    FX =35

I did not notice, you could try reducing : (kerb_bump_scale 2.8) #How big the tall curb bumps are.

    Hey Kuku,

that sounds verry interesting. Do you have any infos for this mod?
What bearings did you use for it? And also how difficult is it to install them?
I'd like to do this on my wheel also.

    Best regards,
    Manuel

If you’re on FB . look up the Group called thrustmaster owners group and search T300 bearing mod. should show up some helpful info including a good pictorial.

@AndreiC, nice your musical mesh-up on the file "Mix MuscleFuktor (Update) +4.4" and this regardless of the tuning values used (they are personal tastes and everyone can and must set them as they see fit), this shows, however, that with the right changes the file is also very adaptable to all Medium/Low wheels bases ... just the opposite of those who claimed that Karsten's files are only for DDs, I'm very happy with this Mix. ;)

I share the feelings recently expressed by many and the direction taken, especially for the values in the game menu with the tendency of the DP (PowerSteering) cursor to be lowered a lot if not even reset. I am continuing to test and yesterday on a Logitech G920 basis I was testing values in the game equal to 80-80-60-0 (very similar to those of Kuku which operates in a range of 80-60 with Fx 30 and DP 0-20) and I must say that I found myself very well both on lateral forces, both in sliding and in the recovery of the car with a good feeling of the corners of the tire.
Even on many machines I was fine with 80-100-60-0 and later I would also like to try the spring at 0 in this line of code to see if it fits well:
    # Rack spring
    (steer_spring_strength 0.0)

now I'm away from home and I'll let you know later!!

In the meantime, I have a request for clarification for Karsten & Co .:
With LFB so high and in a straight line I can't relax the swing of the steering wheel in the center when I take my hands off it, besides the spring force, what could improve this aspect???
The center_relax item does not seem to improve the situation, on the contrary it is counterproductive to raise it, with values that are best kept between a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 0.10.
Is it possible to change something that only intervenes in this aspect???
I think the lines of code that handle this are:
    # Relax the center
    (rack_momentum_l (power rack_momentum_l (power (abs rack_momentum_l) (* center_relax -0.05))))
    (rack_momentum_r (power rack_momentum_r (power (abs rack_momentum_r) (* center_relax -0.05))))

Wow some really interesting values in there for scrub and other details,
Might have to give this a go to see the effect.
also looks like custom center full blend ratios.
You definitely think outside the square.

    Hi Stakanov,

I am not quite sure. I would think to lower LFB would be the only good way.
But will try and think a little about it.

v4.6 is on the doorstep, so would not be until v4.7, I think.
But a better approach is to order one of those csl dd's :)

Thanks as always for the answer @Karsten Hvidberg ... I think, as we have already written here on the forum in the past, that the oscillation is also partly due to the physics still to be optimized (even if it is strongly improving), but regardless, the phenomenon is now mainly limited to Formula cars (Ultimate, Reiza, Gen.2-1, ....) and particularly swaying cars, while it is very negligible on most of the remaining cars (Gt3-4-5, P1 -2-3, ...).
Undoubtedly the lower LFB would help, but my G920 grinder with high LFB values gets excited and believes itself to be a DD :p ... in short, between the two defects, better the oscillation of a full steering wheel that I have to hold with one hand, instead of having a very empty steering wheel that I can drive without hands on the straights ;)... and then no hands where I have to go for the walk, to the waterfront??? :D

In the meantime, in addition to the changes in the previous Mix MuscleFactor + 4.4 file, I lowered the spring force from 1.0 to 0.05 and raised the smoth relative to the rack_momentum from 0.01 to 0.015 and a little re-tuning ... I haven't solved it, but the peaks of this oscillation have improved a lot!!! ;)

    # Rack spring
    (steer_spring_strength 0.05)
    # Smooth slightly
    (rack_momentum (smooth rack_momentum 0.015))

For the rest I am very happy

Values used in game 90-90-65-0 su quasi tutte le auto.

EDIT: I haven't optimized the karts!!!
EDIT2: I thought a lot about placing the order of csl dd's!!!

Hi, in your sig for the FFB file is a Thrustmaster TS PC a low end wheel. So many custom files doing the rounds have no idea which one to select for my TS PC. Thanks!

I had some time to test these new values and I can confirm they feel better, thx, Porsche GTE at Laguna Seca...pure bliss now, I can play as much as I like with the car it will not kill me :D!
Regarding previous versions of the file I could not enjoy it more than the old NuScorpii file and this only changed with 4.4 version for me.
So definitely now the file is good for low/mid range wheels to.

    Hi Kuku,

thank you for the Infos about this.
But i have one question for this mod.
Do you also use those "603ZZ (3x9x5 mm)" bearings for the plastic rollers?
I dont like the idea to fill up the space with washers if you use those bearings.
Or can you stack up two of them and don't use any washers at all?
I saw some pictures of the mod which look like they stack up two or three of those bearings to rerplace one plastic roller. But im not sure which dimensions those bearings have.
A solution without any washers would be cool.

    Best regards,
    Manuel

All the latest files share the same original Karsten base (in version 4.4 / 4.5 or the recent MuscleFuktorUpdate or the latest Mix) ... for medium/low bases you can test my latest file above (or in my signature), or one of the files of the users @Peter Stefani, @Kuku Maddog and the "mesh-up tuning" of @AndreiC (there are also others that maybe I forget and I apologize) ... only your taste is right, nobody can replace yours sensations ... unfortunately you can only test and decide ... the 4.4/4.5/MuscleFactor you find them on the first/second page, for the last you have to go back in this and the last 3-4 pages of the discussion!!! ;)

yeah they stack up, I only brought 4 but don’t even think I could have squeezed third one on shaft without being difficult to get spring clip back on. If you could find a 4mm width you would be fine or even a combination of 5 & 3mm might work. As long as inside diameter is 3mm and outside diameter 9mm you can find what ever width you can to fit.
