Nice one, I've also sent you a steam invite to our little group

 

I have no idea why it says that, I was on raceroom ranked servers last week. I’ve not ever been in an AMS2 lobby race, because anytime I look each server has one or two players and I’ve not bothered joining in. Maybe it’s to do with that?

 

Showing I don't have any groups, maybe the person that set the group up is only allowed to invite @Maser V6 ?

 

Weird, I’m running the latest client already. What’s the group name, can I search for it?

 

Hi Jim, just checked privilages, all members are able to invite to group and have been since set up. (I retain some others like ban)

Hi Marius, will run the Caterams again with closed to public sometime, just recall the pace you have lol was fun, fast rascal!! more members can lead to more locked session / no ai, also any member can set their own session 24/7 leave password on group chat

 

Yeah but i had to open the chat first, did not get a notification, maybe thats the issue here

I'd be keen to join in. I'm not overly quick - but I am looking for a community with whom to race (potentially one of my friends, too, who is not on this forum).

TBH, I really wish I had access to a regular online community on AMS2. I think if I had that, I would not need iRacing. Alas, iRacing fills the gap with well-organised league racing for me...but I am finding, more and more, that AMS2 gives me the on-track experience I want (even versus AI).

I am happy to give any cars you are all already racing a go. For context, in AMS2 I have only really used the Sprint Race and a tiny bit of the Porsche RSR (just to compare it to the iRacing implementation). I'm not a huge fan of open-wheelers but I'll try anything for the sake of a good online experience. One thing is for sure: you can't be too choosy with the volume of online racing currently available in AMS2.

I've added you. Hopefully when simracing gp get AMS 2 on their system, it will open up daily racing for us.

Some names in there I've seen, problem for us is the choice of Cat makes little difference, Cat King' is quick in all models
Ran a long GT1 session last night with randoms and members, some nice racing and no idiots. 2 bugs inc st/wheel bug at start for 1 was odd. possibly the only 2 to drop out.
(reported even crashed ams whilst watching the replay of bug?)

And the down shift from 6 to 5 in the McLaren I couldn't hear but will try again.

Definitely keen to get added to the group, if that is where the organisation of races etc happens. If I have been sent an invite, I can't seem to see it anywhere.
