With the new custom FFB file from Karsten does anyone have recommended settings for the G29? Or even without the custom file looking for a new FFB since the last update. It hasn’t felt quite the same as it used to with TomP’s file, and isn’t quite as good as Raceroom/ Ac for me currently. Using Karsten’s “low-end” file currently.

Honestly, I can't say I've ever felt anything useful out of the Karsten files for the G29. They feel different than Default for sure, but to me the information is not there or is so subtle it's hidden under other forces - no brake locking feel, no weight transfer. Even the Default is better right now. Maybe someone could go and try to increase some of Karsten's values to try to accentuate these effects and create a version specifically for Logitech wheels. I agree some of the custom files specifically for the G29 posted here and on RD before the Great FFB Update felt better than what we have now.

For Default FFB, Raven_ARG's values (90-20-90-0) from a few posts ago are a good staring point.

Thanks Azaris, I’ll give this a try. I agree the custom FFB used to be great, but maybe not so much anymore for the G29 at least. Just trying to emulate what I can feel in Raceroom with this wheel. I know raceroom tends to over-exaggerate but I feel that is needed with the G29 to some extent.

After trying tons of custom files and settings, I have settled on @Karsten Hvidberg 's latest build. Interestingly the medium preset was better for me than the low preset. I have also adjusted some of the values to better fit the G29 and have posted the file below. In game settings taken from @Peter Stefani but upped the gain fairly significantly. So far this has felt the best to me but let me know what you guys think!

Pretty good, certainly the best version of this file that I have tried. Maybe some of the kerb forces could be toned down a little as they are quite harsh on GT3's for example.

I kind of like the harsh kerbing so I turned it up a bit but you can always tone it down. I've only experienced kerbing/rumble strips while highway driving so wanted to try to emulate that feeling as best as I could.

    Hi guys,
    I don't have a g series, but a single motor dfp.
Karstens .38 is the sh t on my wheel.
But I use a low gain higher lfb.
    30-35/60/60/0 mid file.
    Just throwing it out there.:)

Yeah im liking this a lot now, no logitech notchiness, lovely feeling of car weight and nice over kerbs etc , actually makes the G29 feel like a higher spec wheel. Thanks for sharing.

Happy you like it! I really enjoy it as well and might keep it as is for now. I know @Karsten Hvidberg dropped a new version of his file but I don't want to mess with this quite yet :D

Wow, just tried this, after strangely default config decided to no work anymore after a 10 lap race (no ffb at all), and it's very good. A lot of feedback from the car. Just a little exaggerated curb feeling but it's ok!
    Thanks

Probably a bit late to the party, but this is a game changer! Thanks!

Hello, sorry to ask that, but could you please reupload the file so I can try it. It will be my first custom ffb experience.

    Hi Peter,

What Logitech profiler settings are you running with your tuned custom FFB files?

My g29 isn't recognising movement in the wheel now I've updated to windows 11, anyone else getting this issue?

The Logitech software recognises the wheel just not the movement.

Looking online and can't find any driver later than September so I'm assuming its that but can't find anything about the problem online.
