Hi all, is there a way to see what the actual damage Is to your vehicle after a crash whilst racing to selected the correct pit strategy ? For example Just fixing areo etc. Had a small crash and went to the pits during a race and due to not being able to see what was needed for repair it held me in for 3minutes whilst it repaired everything regardless how Minor the damage was, ruining my race. Thanks in advance

There are options in the in-car menu to fix different types of damage, but it's not very convenient to use while driving.

Ive honestly not even started preparing pitstrats for AMS2. If its anything like it was in PC2 Im not looking forward to it lol.
But crew chief will usually tell you what type of damage you have. That will give you at least some clue for what to repair…
Not sure if theres an actual ingame damage indicator.

Isn't the damage to components displayed on one of HUD pages, near the lower right corner? Or does it not show aero damage?

    In race hit ESC

    20211005134940_1.jpg

    Choce Options

    20211005134950_1.jpg

    Edit HUD Layout

    20211005135105_1.jpg

    And save

You can setup a few different HUDs

Remember to check if the selected strategy has the right components set to fix or not. By default (if I'm not mistaken), all components are set to be fixed (engine, gearbox, etc), that is why it takes a lot of time to repair the car.
If you selected only front/rear wings, the predicted repair time falls from ~300s to ~60s for the open wheelers, for example.

If you adjust strategy to fix mechanical, what does it actually fix? Engine? Gearbox? Suspension? All?

I think that is setup in the pit strategy prior to the race.
