    Hi there,

I just recently observed some strange looking lighting/shadows on the cars and wondered if that's normal or an issue. I tried it on the new Imola and Oulton Park. Day time was set to 15.30. I have all graphic settings maxed out except for anisotrophic filtering, which is set to 8.

The car bodies appear in a much brighter light than the lower section of the car, you would expect a smoother transition from bright to dark. Please take a look at the screenshots, I think they illustrate what I mean in a clearer way.

And there's some aliasing artifacts too at the border between the car body and the shadow.

Are you using a custom SweetFx preset ?
Maybe try disabling it or chaning to other one and see if still happens.

Yes, I’m using a custom preset. I’ll try to use the normal preset next time and see what it looks like.

I just tried with default preset and without any preset, yet the issue still remains.
See screenshots attached. The cars look like cutouts, something is wrong with the transition from light/reflection to the shadows/bottom of the cars.

EDIT: Really seems to be an issue with cockpit view. If I switch to another view it's gone.

Ok. But what does that exactly mean? :D
I know Alpha channels from Photoshop, but what do they mean for the cockpit view?

From the other cars on the pics i thought you were using just original content.
If you`re using a modded skin, especially the Windshield, then it`s definitily the issue.

I never understood why using an alpha layer on the complete texture. On a part of it to imitate dirt is understandable

@Fabian Biehne have you tested different times of the day?
This could be related to shaders as well... sometimes different angles of lightning could cause a strange behaviour with the reflection.
