Hi all, does anyone know if we can save the camera positions per car if we adjust them? And if so is it all view or just the driving one on-board?

I rather have the probem that I'm not able to reset camera positions as easy as one klick like in ACC. Happens quite often when I joind a server that forbids external views, which is somewhat funny since you can slew internal camera to extreme external positions (including birdview)

Regarding the internal camera, there should be some restrictions to keep it "internal"

So when you change the cameras do they get saved to each car individually and stay set after you exit or finish a race?

    As long I know…
When ever you start to edit your cam-position in a car (with heyboard A S D W …) the result is saved automatically for this specific car.
This should be loaded (also automatically) when ever you start the game again.
    Most user friendly. :D

(me speaking here about cockpit cam VR, should be same in non-VR. I never tested cam position of other cams.)

I wish we could move & save the position of the image in the mirrors in the same way as the cockpit seat position. Many cars have them so far to the inside that you have lean your head basically out of the cockpit to see directly behind you.
PC2 had this, and it's needed in AMS2.

    So,to make it clear(er) :
    In Cockpit View:
A,S,W,D is the SEAT POSITION wich is saved per each car.Not the camera positon or a free cam.
To RESET the SEAT POSITION you can switch to free cam mode.
Hit CTRL +K then hit 5 (NumPad).
Now the position is relocated to 0,00 /0,00.
Hit CTRL + K again to leave the free cam modus.
So,what we need is a ONE BUTTON RESET,but i think it is not so easy to do:)

You should probably bear in mind that the free cam in earlier Madness Engine games was only there in the beta / testing releases and not the final retail products. So it's probably not integrated into the cockpit view persistence system at the engine level.

Based on a search in this forum for "Numpad 5", I think it's the Ctrl key.
Next up is trying to figure out how to input a Numpad 5 when I have a tenkeyless keyboard…

Okay, I am confused now, so a,s,d,w move seat position and not camera?
I tried those keys and couldn't move up and down only left, right, forwards, backwards.

In cockpit view you can move the camera/seat position up and down or forwards and backwards and it will save automatically per car. You can also map buttons to tilt cockpit camera up and down but this does NOT automatically save (or save at all) and you will have to adjust it every time you change a car. AMS2 also does not have the option to move the seat or cockpit camera left or right.
In my personal opinion this is something that needs to be addressed and we should have all options available to us so we can set the seat/cockpit camera exactly how we want it per car and then press save for that particular car and it’s done. AC, ACC, R3E all have this feature and to me it’s a basic option that all sims should have. Just my two pence worth and a small gripe really.
