Any tips (.ini, Nvidia settings) to improve the shimmering shadows?

The madness engine is extremely beautiful, except for the shadows on the road in front of the car, especially the shadows casted by the trees. I've searched, but without much success. Are there any tips or settings in the .ini files or nvidia control panel, where we can force the shadows to be softer or have better AA (anti-aliasing)?

Join this thread made years ago.
    Anti aliasing
Reiza seem to be doing incremental steps but much more is still needed.

Only tips i have for better AA is MSAA low in game and FXAA and MFAA with enhanced AA in NVCP. Definitely improves AA but not really does anything for shadows, only running in overcast or cloudy (but some say that kills performance, I've not noticed), it still looks bright but the shadows now are softer.

Thanks... keeping fingers crossed as it is one of the rare visual problems in this sim. Perhaps, one day, will see RTX raytraced shadows :)

    I edited my above post.
Yes, the shimmer from shadows really detracts from the otherwise great visuals. Once you run overcast or cloudy you can really see how clean it can look.

You could try SMAA Ultra with Supersampling on Low or Medium (if you just want to use what's available ingame).
