Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

Track & Layout Used: Spa Historic 1993 (seems to happen in any track)
Car Used: Formula V10 Gen 1
Applicable Settings: Weather - clear (other settings seems irrelevant)
Report: Engine explodes if you are in Neutral
Steps to reproduce: Go to a Race and try to start it. Before the lights are green the engine explodes. This also happens in practice mode. But if you are fast you can still drive out of the pits without any damage on the engine.

Report: strange vibrations on front wheels causing loss of grip ( always on straight between 3d and 5th corner )
It's an anormal oscillation of front suspension that start at middle of straight, with any reason.
The car seems to be losing grip.
It's happen in other tracks also, random. It's not depend to speed or any other thing I've tried.
Try by yourself to test.
This dont' happen with Dallara f309

Tell ya what, why is getting this program so hard to identify and use my controls so tough. I have a Fanatec CSL DD with CSL pedals, yet there is always an issue. No matter what I do I can't get the game to up shift or down shift. Issues like this and others regarding my controls has gone on for months. AC, rF2, iRacing, etc doesn't have this issue, but literally for months AMS2 does. This is getting ridiculous. It's not restricted to a particular type of track or car. It happens every time.

Report: When using "tyre by weather" it will select slicks. Wet tyres are definitely faster.

Report: While calibrating my Simucube 2 Pro the wheel will violently jolt and fast turn in a dangerous fashion once calibration is succesfull. Calibration only works when the wheel is turned exactly 360 degrees. Using True Drive Paddock version 2021.9

Is there any reason why Velopark is now Rolling Start only? Can the option to have Standing Starts be re-enabled, please?

Yeah, I have tried this previously. Sometimes, some functionality returns, then I boot it up again, and others don't. On my system this is very inconsistent. I can give it another try when I build up the patience again, but why there are so many issues with AMS2 and not with other sims is very frustrating. Love the sim, the graphics the DLC content, but it shouldn't be this hard.

Report: I can’t get stability control, TC or ABS to remain on and active in a gt3/gt4 car when in multiplayer online races. The main game assistance options are turned on, but when I am in a multiplayer setting online the SC/TC/Abs deactivate completely and even the in-car menu is greyed out and I can’t turn on those settings. Strangely, this problem does not happen in race day/testing single player mode, only online multiplayer. And it only seems to be a problem when I have driven an older car earlier in the game (so a car where those assistance settings are not applicable due to the car not having them originally). If I only launch the game and use newer cars that have those options then it all works fine, so I can’t first drive an older car and then switch to a newer car or the in-car menu won’t work and the main game options don’t work to turn SC/TC/abs. To correct the problem I have to completely exit the game to the desktop and relaunch the game and not use older cars before gt3/gt4. It’s like the game thinks I’m still using that older car when I switch to a newer car.

 

Same class as the McLaren but I got this message on Kyalami '76

 

Kart 125cc the AI causes a complete rampage in the corners and standing still. I tried on different kart tracks its everywhere but buskerud short its really bad. The kart itself its a blast to drive in current state without AI

 

Do not know if this is a bug or the problem is on my side, but since the latest update, my keyboard does not react anymore in photo mode. Mouse works normally, but no reaction on keyboard inputs. Kb has no problems in any other application and also works without problems in game menu.

Steps to reproduce :drive the car fast until you crash it when you lost a tire pause the game and go to view replay play the replay until finish it and eject it then press restart and you done it you can drive the car without tire each you can doi the same to get the car without tires

Track: Laguna seca

After crashing and wheel came off restarted timetrial session and the wheel was still off but without the effects of damage.
I had to back out to main menu and then restart the combo for the wheel to reappear

Issue - side mirrors too close to driver.

 

Classic gen 3 group 3 oscillation at high speed (spa, classic hockenheim) on long straights. Car front end bounces very fast left to right until either control is lost or driver brakes for a corner. No other car seems to have this issue. Using Fanatec dd1 with latest firmware. Tried uninstalling and deleting all AMS2 files. Tried older Fanatec firmware but no joy. In-game gain at 55, wheelbase ffb at or around 50 but problem continues if ffb, gain and road FX set to 0.


Solved: Windows reinstall. No further issues...
