AMS2 has some great open wheel cars with modern F1s/Classics and Formula Trainers which I'm guessing is like a Formula Ford, also one of my favorite the Formula Vees but what about more modern Formula 4? or Formula 3? The two Formula 3s in AMS2 is like from 2001 and 2009..we need more modern ones like F3s have halos now. Like if you were doing a pretend Open Wheel career you would start in Karts, then the Vees, then Formula Trainers (Formula Fords) but after that there's nothing modern with F4 or F3 or F2. Its like a massive gap until you reach Indy Cars and F1.

I've been asking for F2 for a long time. Imo the gap in pace between F3 and F1 is a big one, even a generic F2 would be a good addition to the game (like a F-Reiza B or something).

I would say that this is a must for delivering a fleshed out career mode.

The current F4 Brasil series is the most obvious choice imho:

F-Trainer, F4, F3, F2, F1 would be cool. So you can actually run an online Formula league with tiers, etc.

Definitely. If you want a decent career mode, you at least need:

1960's junior classes (in order to create an F-Vintage/F-Retro career)
late 1980's junior classes (in order to create an F-Classic/F-USA/F-V10 career)
early 2010's junior classes (in order to create an F-Reiza/F-Ultimate Gen1/2 career)

There should be at least two or three series each. I hope they aren't that expensive, and they should be easier to model, as everyone expects spec series there (whereas I don't like it that much that there's only one F-Ultimate Gen1/2 model, just as there's only one F-V10 Gen2 model).

    I'd want to be added:
    Formula Reiza B
    Formula Reiza C
    Formula Ultimate B
    Formula Ultimate C
    that F4 Brazil
    Formula USA Ultimate B

AMS2 does not need even more "formula" cars at all.

While there are littler gaps between different F1 eras, the lack of F2 or F4 are noticeable. We have old F3 and Formula Trainer, but nothing in between. I'd love to see F4 in the roster to make transition from FT to F3 a little more fluent. Same with F3 to F1 era.

And there are also those lesser known open wheel series from various part of the globe to explore too. There's no such thing as too many :D Similar to Lego :D

Fleshing out the existing classes that have only one, two or three contenders since 2020, but had a dozen RL. And stop spilling out fictional cars.

I don't know which cars you mean by fictional, in a way they are all, If you mean the Formula cars that come into play through a licensed evasive way, I don't agree with you.

As much as I love openwheeler (and I do!) imo AMS2 does not need more open wheeler at the moment. Once a proper career mode is in sight (which will probably happen when everything else is more or less finished development-wise) we can start talking about that but for now please add other/new cars (Group 5 or IMSA GTO) or fill up the classes which only have two cars right now (Group C for example).

    can not agree more
and let the devs fix bugs and glitches as well as significantly improve the MP before anything new to be added, honestly OP and sorry but I don't see how such new class would be a consensus amongst the users base considering the issues the Game still has
    but its my 2p

This is pure hyperbole. There may be missing cars in various classes (due to obvious licensing issues involving cars from 50-60 years ago) but no class is missing "dozens" of cars. Even back in the day, a few makes would dominate most categories and the rest would be also-rans or one-off entries.

It's just a pipe dream that Reiza will license every single obscure 70's touring car to satisfy sim racers screaming for "full grids" because that would involve licensing deals with half-a-dozen different car manufacturers, obtaining data and drawings for cars that may not exist any more (there's a reason why every sim models the same historical cars), then actually 3D modelling the cars and inventing physics for them that probably have nothing to do with reality.

All perfectly fine for AC modders who don't have to pay license fees or care about realism as long as the cars "drive nicely" and conform to the expectations and biases of sim racers, but very problematic for sim devs who need to play by the book.

Open wheel? World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, TQ Midget Cars, NASCAR Modified Regional Tour, Whelen Modifieds, SK Modifieds, Thompson, Stratford, Eldora, I-84...

    And F3, F2, and the Brazilian F4.

And more Indy Cars, plus Indianapolis. 1968, Andy Granatelli, Graham Hill, Joe Leonard, the Doorstop...

Oh yeah! Plenty of room for more open wheel stuff! :)
