There won't be perfect reliability outside turning off random failures which you can certainly do via settings. But going to say 2.0 will make cars even in the lowest reliability classes practically bulletproof*. Worth mentioning that even without random failures you and AI can get cooling damage which can lead to overheating related issues.

or Josien Vandusen and Marnix Vandusen

edit: + Keijo Bergmann and Nikolaus Bergmann

But what about Grayson and Dareen Phill?

And does anyone know if the Stedman G.P. is related to the great Jackie Stedman from the Formula Vintage era?

There are too Marty and Mark Trundle, but I suspect that Mark should have been Trundel:D

In other words, Replace All "F1" with "G.P."

By the way, Mark Summerbottom lives in the Northern Hemisphere.

F USA, all Classes: Custom AI does not work anymore on oval tracks with custom liveries. Same with all other classes which have their own bodywork for oval and high speed tracks like Historic Hockenheim. :(

    Edit: Problem solved:)

I wondered why the Custom Ai would work on some tracks and not the others.

AI files refer to bodywork now. No information given how to do that within the files...

    Edit: Solved. Thanks to Chrisi74

One question regarding the custom AI files.

For F_USA_gen 2, I made all the 4 files needed for all kinds of tracks:

    F-USA_Gen2_.xml

    F-USA_Gen2_SO.xml (super ovals)

    F-USA_Gen2_SW.xml (speedway)

    F-USA_Gen2_SS.xml (super speedway)

Within all files, driver names and their values are the same. Works well on permanent race tracks and street tracks; the best drivers of the xml are in front if they do not get held up in quaylifying.

But in Ovals (tried Fontana and Daytona) it is obviously not working the way I want. Guys with best values are at the back of the field whilst usual backmarkers are in front all over sudden.
    Am I doing something wrong?

Here’s an option you probably haven’t considered: the names-only AI files I made for my AMS2 mod (see my signature) include files for all f-USA cars through V1.4. The real drivers in these custom lists are simply matched to their Reiza defaults from the ‘95//98/‘00 CART seasons. Therefore, you can substitute equivalent drivers from whatever series or season you’re interested in recreating by using Reiza’s default values to keep things relatively ranked among drivers. Moreover, my files permit you to insert single-item attribute changes to any file while keeping all remaining Reiza values constant. Paul Tracy might have been a bit off in your file compared to the ‘95 season, for example, so you can insert a few trial and error values and see how he responds from his Reiza baseline. If nothing else, this solution might help by providing some initial bearings.

I have of course team/driver names according to my custom liveries and everything works. No syntax errors. All guys are there. But in oval courses' qualifying and races, game seems to have it's own will when it comes to driver's strength. Same values in all of those files, I just renamed them to the new system of bodyworks.
And I am not interested in Reiza's values, as they change from race to race from driver to driver coincidentally. I wanna portay a certain season, which works well on non-oval tracks.

Where did you find the info on the new xml file names? I'm having trouble finding any posts or pages on how to do most of the new customisable things from 1.4 in the gamses folders......

Chrisi74 found out how to check this out:
Open your installation folder and check the pakfiles, there you see which liveries need additional files called :_SO, _SW, _LD and so on.

    ... (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2\Pakfiles\Vehicles

The vehicle_reliability values should be scaled to race length rather than be related to absolute failure times. Now we have to make different custom AI files for different race lengths.

All the custom files included in NAMeS are working as intended ... but yesterday's update did lack the additional Low Downforce files for various Formula cars with smaller rear wings--NAMeS v2.2 addresses this omission.
