Thanks @Racer25 .Good to know I keep trying. Several reboots and deleted AMS2 from documents folder still not seeing the wheel. BETA still OK. Very odd.

The 32-car limit is a constraint derived from several technical reasons, including the fact that most of our tracks cannot support grid sizes larger than that. We did retain a few extra cars over that limit in classes with many models so they would still have a decent range of options, but offering a indiscriminate amount of extra cars than the game will comport just adds load and extra overhead in various game modes.

I understand that many users would like to have larger grid sizes and unrestricted additional liveries, and maybe in a long enough time frame we can get around this constraint - right now tho that´s the hand we have to play with.

Yes, no need to do anything your old setups will no longer apply.

Does anyone still think there´s a car that drives better in AMS1 than its counterpart in AMS2? That you actually drove in AMS1 recently. Sincerely curious about it :)

I'm having the exact same problem with this new track. Any word on when it might get fixed?

True actually, most cars now drive better than their AMS1 counterparts, it's just that AMS1's version has been my reference point for a good while since the AMS2 version, frankly, drove far worse than it before this update

Holy crap all these cars are driving so differently now, The tyres actually feel slippier when not in range. Those low spec formula classic gen 3s are incredible around Monza. The sounds are better, for some reason the visuals seem a bit better aswell? the look of the chassis of cars look cooler (albeit always shiny) And the road feels even more detailed (And ofcourse supercool how the dirt splashes on the track, can always see where people went off now and fun that you pick up dirt with your tyres too) The Oval racing tests have been so fun (Apart from FCY bugs)

Jeeez Reiza, I normally stream 3 multiplayer rounds and do a 2/3 hour stream as its super easy to do and everybody can join in this game.
But I kept on playing for 8 whopping hours on stream..... The cars are matured so nicely!

The Mini remains much faster compared to the other Classic B cars.

    A few impressions:
    • Driven quite a few cars and most of them feel better than ever, really connect via rubbery tyres to the road. The new tyre physics are really shining…
    • …except for the Formula Trainers which have become deeply unpleasant to drive. Really exaggerated weight transfer and very little lateral grip, it’s almost impossible to race effectively because the AI have retained the lateral grip and can actually make it around corners
    • The Copa B mini has no windscreen wipers and messed up wet windscreen fx
    • The AI are generally much racier but in an enjoyable and not unfair way. They are definitely a greater challenge even at low strength, they definitely hang on in corners better. As usual the tin top AI are much better behaved
    • The GTO Ginetta is sublime in every way
    • AI still eat the bollards at Oulton. And it doesn’t trigger a yellow or FCY
    • GT4 merc is a beast, but the cockpit audio needs to come up a few Db
    • F3 is back to being predictable and enjoyable to drive
    • FVee AI are still impossible to compete against even at <90

Weird... I am definitely not "in-game" when I'm doing a Steam update and neither are my friends. I've had games installed for months or even years, constantly being updated, and still showing 0.0hrs played, because I've never played them. Not doubting that it might be your case, but you might have some weird Steam setting activated or something, because it's not normal, otherwise the graphs on Steamcharts would look way different.

I found this response by a user on a steamcommunity board. Someone had a G25 not working on an earlier version of AMS2. The problem also occured for wheel users on ACC. Obviously an Accuforce is not a G25, but maybe this solution may help.

"Your Steam Client offers a controller interface, it can cause problems if you are using another driver/app/emulator for your device.

There is a switch to turn these setting on/off for each game. Right click on the game in steam library and choose properties. "Steam Input Per-Game Setting" ; “Use your Global Steam Input" for on, "Force Off" to disable. Select Force Off.

Some have reported this setting can change on its own when Steam client updates."

Earlier in the thread someone asked if metallic skin painting is an option now, also matte and chrome finishes, are any of these available for skinners in 1.4?
Also are we likely to see a mappable fuel mix / engine map button and turbo adjustment button in the future?

New setups are stored in the subfolder "vehiclesetups", whilst old ones are in "tuningsetups"?

If I am right, can I delete all setups in the folder "tuningsetups"?

    if you're talking about mods.txt, it was PC1 ;)
It was officially supported after the GOW edition was released.
    PC2 did not support it.

I tried out the new truck at Gateway and was pleasantly surprised. It's funny how ovals seem well suited to heavy vehicles that don't normally turn well... *cough cough... NASCAR*

My biggest takeaway from this content drop is: CART/IndyCar drivers are/were a whole other level of brave. Ovals may be less to memorize, but any mistake at those speeds would be a massive incident. I haven't felt legit fear in my VR headset in years, and seeing a broken tire nearly hit the car at 235mph just put into perspective how insane that era was.

    I feel the same way.

I was never a fan of ovals because it's just left turns and I enjoy going around a track with right turns as well.

So when AMS2 v1.4 dropped earlier I figured I would give oval's a try against the AI in VR.

    WOW..

While in the pack it was THE most INTENSE driving I have ever done in sim racing. The drivers are/were nuts.

When you're in the middle you have zero wiggle room to mess up and you hope they aren't going to turn into you as well. It was eye opening.
