I'm guessing the variety of time zones, and cheese may hinder this great idea.

Controversial opinion here: both are fun, I like them both, you can like them both too

I don't disagree that you can like both, I own both but I don't think the constant comparison is useful in any way, shape or form.

Remember what Renato said in the August update:

"There are other existing classes receiving additional contenders (a trend you may expect to continue for the next few updates) - a slick-shod 1965 Mini Cooper is the new competitor in Copa Classic, while the fictional Vulkan Truck will join the Copa Truck grid."

Well, actually AMS2 is already competing against ACC because it is one of the few PC sim racing titles, but they're fundamentally two different games with different focus. ACC's focus is clearly more on the MP side of things, which it does really well I must say. I've had tons of fun with ACC but it gets repetitive pretty quick, whereas AMS2 has a lot more variety on offer.

Both games have their shortcomings but they're both brilliant in different ways, I love both.

I agree it is apples to oranges. One game that is completly focused on one series to another one that has cars from all classes and eras. It would be similar to comparing F1 22 to AMS2. It is fine to compare FFB, physics, graphics, performance (all of which I think AMS2 is better than ACC). It is much more apporpriate to compare imo AMS2 to rf2 or R3E.

I like them both, but I spend far more time with AMS2 and only occasionally launch ACC for things that aren't in AMS2. If you put them head-to-head, same car, same track, AMS2 shines. I greatly prefer the GT3 Porsche in AMS2, for example. Not that the ACC Porsche is bad, necessarily, I just prefer the feel and responsiveness of the AMS2 version.

I don't care about ACC because it only has classes that I dislike, but I don't think it is unfair to compare ACC cars with the AMS2 equivalents.

After all, aren't both of the games trying to simulate how they are supposed to behave irl? ACC shouldn't be the benchmark for reality, just like AMS2 also shouldn't be the benchmark, but there is absolutely no unfairness in comparing them.

What would be unfair is to compare AMS2 MP with iRacing, for example. iRacing whole proposal is to have a massive MP population, whereas AMS2 kinda seems to not care as much about it. Different strategies, so uncomparable.

The fact that AMS2 has 100 more classes than ACC doesn't deny any direct comparison to cars that both game have. Like it or not.

I understand some people here are fond of defending Reiza given it is its own forum, but ideally we should be impartial. Constructive criticism is something actually good and helps to move the title forward. Blatant favoritisms, from one side or another, are waste of time.

Confirmed, no, but knowing Renato said he wanted Aston and Nissan joining to be the focus of an update, instead of being overshadowed by other content in the patch, I'd put them as high likelihood barring any other headline content.

Back in Feb, Renato shared Nissan and (I think), Aston Martin GT images. I'm assuming that those will appear before the end of the year.

What we need is exclusive JDM DLC, featuring Mazdas, Toyotas, Nissans, and NSXs. Also Japanese circuits like Sugo, Fuji and Tsukuba.

JDM? Japanese Doom Metal? I like, "Church of Misery", myself. They're no, "Electric Wizard", but they're pretty good. :p

Group A, Group C, GT1, GT Classics, DPI, P1-4, maybe also GT3 and GTE are all good candidates in my opinion.
