I'm currently using a Thrustmaster T80, I like the wheel, but there is no Force Feed Back. Apparently the FFB really adds to immersion and gameplay due to being able to sense how much the car is sticking to the road etc. I've also been reading some wheels are easier to set up than others. Any recommendations on a good FFB wheel that will work without much tweaking? I was thinking the Thrustmaster T150 ? Thanks
Any commercial wheels works fine in AMS, the choice would depend on your budget. For exaple you named the T150, for the same price, 150-160 Euros, you can find a second-hand Logitech G27, better wheels, better pedals + H shifter (i'm talking about european market). Then the are varius T300/TX bundles at 260-300 euros, T500 at 440 euros etc.
The T300 is really good and works well out-of-the-box on most sims. Not cheap when you want all the options, though. I'd go with the Ferrari alcantara bundle first (the wheel is very nice, and has a 3-pedals set) and add the manual gearbox later if you want to. That's 350€ + 150€. The newer GT edition is cheaper (less than 300€), has a 3-(squared-)pedal set, but the wheel is not as good.
I have T150, i rly like it with ams, only lil tweaking. Downside is ofc pedals set (no clutch and kinda low quality, but enough for beginners) and no shifter. Since u didnt provide any price range id get something better if u are able to. In this price range its T150 or used g27
Depending on where you are a friend of mine is selling a lightly used G25 with pedals and shifter, shifter includes sequential setting on G25, he is only looking for around £100 delivered if you are in the UK?
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I really appreciate it. I'm currently in India, and may not be in the UK for some time. I can get my hands on a T150 via Amazon India for about £200. Or the G29 for £240. What would you say is the best deal ? Or, If I wait until I am ion the uk, I can get a t300 for £250. Oh well, as long as most wheels will work, I guess I will be ok whatever I choose
