It would be perfect to have it in AMS 2, it has the Gran Turismo 2 nostalgia factor haha, it raced in two 1000 miles of interlagos here, it was the fastest thing on the track but in the first race it broke up and the second it had a crash sadly, I dont know what was the end of that car, maybe it's still in Brasil.

GT2 is one of the things I wish the most in AMS2, so perfect to make multiclass with GT1.
Racing games seems to forget about GT2, it was full of amazing cars.

I think Reiza should be going for the 2004 GT1 class instead then, where the Viper and Lister were still participating while others like the Saleen S7-R, Ferrari F550/575 and Murcielago R-GT joined as well to give more diversity.
The actual GT2 class were only the Viper, Porsche and Marcos (plus Mustang for a few races I think) before it was restructured and renamed.

Yeah its a bit confusing, I think first the Storm was a GT1, but it was too slow for it, then it became a GT2? I might be wrong. The 2004 GT1 had the Maserati too didnt it? Also a Fort GT I think. There was the Lister also in the British GT championship that had all types of interesting stuff at that time. But I'm never sure if it was as a GT1 or GT2.

Yeah it's a bit complicated, there were GT1 and GT2 versions of the Lister Storm racing in the same race even.

After only Mercedes signed up for 1999, they completely ditched the GT1/GTP class and only raced with the GT2 class, now called GTS. Later they added the N-GT class below the GTS class and another few years later they went back to the GT1 and GT2 names, where a lot of the former GTS cars went to GT1, for example, the Viper and the Lister.

And yeah, 2004 was the first season where the Maserati raced but iirc only for a few races where they were not racing for points as the car wasn't homologated yet.

Some great memories coming back, especially from Gran Turismo. Lister Storm, Saleen S7, DeTomaso, Viper SRT and GTSR. I'd love to have them in a proper sim like AMS2. They weren't too difficult to drive in an arcade but I can just imagine how much of a handful they'd be in AMS2.

Brit GT's TVR Speed12 and Carbera from late 90's / early 2000's were also super cool. And super mental :)

The GTR2 cars should be GT1 gen 2, and do it before GTR Revival is a thing

Really hope update is not to long
The time trial with ghost car options is an extreamly good part of ams2 but it’s chop city for me due to the bug

In single player mode same track/conditions with multiple ai’s my fps is rock solid

I feel like the silence is more than likely deliberate just so Reiza don't end up having another IndyCar incident and saying something that abruptly ends up no longer being true (especially since who's presumably their PR guy has still been posting as usual on the socials and such, it's just been radio silent on the devs' front)

I wouldn't look into it to much then you can't be disappointed. Renato will tell us about Indycar news when it's ready but otherwise Im fine with them probably having a more relaxed month after the intense last few months. Only problem though is that the other DLC content needs to be making an appearance as there's not long left until 2023.
