Hello! So I got bored with waiting for someone to skin the FVintage cars and decided to do it myself. I've done the '67 cars and am starting on the '69s, but it's all a lot of trial and error at the moment. I was wondering if any of you guys could suggest a good place to go - forums or wherever - for a novice skinner to ask for advice and get any tips? Thanks! -Mango Attached - my effort at the '67s. I have done the full set, but some of them (Brabham, BRM, Cooper, some privateer cars) didn't make it into this shot.
Looking great! Would be awesome to have something similar to Trading Paints (at least in terms of skin exchange) for AMS.
Hello Eduardo, have you published your set anywhere? I don't know if you would need any help but if you'd be interested, I can send you my .psd with the originals I painted for rF2's Brabham BT20. You could at least take the correct colors and line dimensions, and logo placements, from it. Did you do a series on its own or have you overwritten the default teams? I know back then there were uneven number of drivers per team but this is the list of equivalents I worked out: 1967 .Team 01 BRG - BRM .Team 02 Copper - Cooper .Team 03 Hawk - Eagle .Team 04 Kiwi - McLaren .Team 05 Miatra - Matra .Team 06 Milano - Ferrari .Team 07 Norfolk - Lotus .Team 08 Sorten - Brabham .Team 09 Vortex - Ligier .Team 10 Yamura - Honda 1969 .Team 01 Barber - BRM .Team 02 Copper - Cooper .Team 03 Hawk - Eagle .Team 04 Kiwi - McLaren .Team 05 Miatra - Matra .Team 06 Milano - Ferrari .Team 07 Norfolk - Lotus .Team 08 Sorten - Brabham .Team 09 Vortex - Williams / BMW .Team 10 Yamura - Honda (didn't exist so it can be replaced with BMW or Antique Automobiles and Silvio Moser Racing Team)
Great stuff, thanks Eduardo. And as Guiga stated, where/when will you upload them? RD has always been a great community for me. Cheers Robin
