    I can't update. I've done everything written on the first page and nothing works. I've cleared the download cache, restarted, verified the files, uninstalled and reinstalled. It's almost finished, but the files just stop installing. I have enough space on my hard drive. I've been trying everything for a week now, and the update just won't finish. The other games update normally!

    @TD99 Hi, sorry to hear you're experiencing issues. Have you tried to recall what might be causing the problem? Possibly a recent driver update or another program interfering with AMS2 when running in Fullscreen or Borderless mode.

    @JohnC What solutions have you tried so far?

    Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues. Have you tried clearing the download cache via Steam's own settings? Open Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache. See if that resolves the issue.

    At this rate it's probably best to completely uninstall and reinstall the game.

    Yes, come to think of it, I updated my Elgato Drivers/software recently which was a few releases behind. So I've tested some more games and I am definitely seeing similar behavior on some of them (see below), therefore I'm very confident that the recent Elgato Stream Deck software update to version 6.9.1 (21711) is the culprit.

    EDIT/UPDATE: Yep, it's 100% the Elgato software. 6.8.X works fine, but starting with 6.9.X, the issue appears. Once I rolled back to 6.8.1, all games are working correctly again in WINDOWED BORDERLESS mode.

    AMS2
    WINDOWED = YES, Stream Deck works correctly
    BORDERLESS = NO, does not work correctly
    FULL SCREEN = NO

    DIRT4
    FULLSCREEN = YES
    BORDERLESS = NO

    DIRT RALLY 2.0
    WINDOWED = YES
    FULLSCREEN = YES (at first, until I ALT-TAB out and then back, then NO)
    WINDOWED BORDERLESS = NO

    F1 22
    WINDOWED = YES
    FULLSCREEN = NO (at first, until I ALT-TAB out and then back, then YES)
    WINDOWED (FULLSCREEN) = NO

    GRID LEGENDS
    FULLSCREEN = YES
    WINDOW FULLSCREEN = NO

    ACC
    FULLSCREEN ENABLED = YES
    FULLSCREEN DISABLED = YES

    Hi,
    Same issue here.
    I host servers with a lot of players, and after the latest patch I've had multiple problems:

    1. My server stopped working—people couldn’t join, so I had to set up a new one (I'm using a dedicated server).
    2. Online play has become extremely slow. Yesterday, during rain, the game was practically unplayable. My FPS dropped significantly (I have a 4080 Super). I use VR, and with every new patch I have to lower the resolution—as if the game consumes more performance with every update.
    3. The FPS drop isn’t just affecting me. I’ve joined other rooms and noticed the same issue happening frequently.

    I'm not sure if I should ask this here or create a dedicated post but I've experienced some extreme stutter on one of my last races.
    I wanted to ask if it's unwise, unadvisable to cap the frames in AMS2 using nvidia control pannel to do so?

    I mean, inside AMS2 I can cap it at 120hz (since I won't imagine I'll be able to smoothly run faster than that) but I'm not sure if that actually caps the game at real 120fps or if I need a 3rd party interaction (nvidia control pannel in this case) to make sure that I cap those frames.

    I usually record while playing and want to make it look as smooth and fluid as possible.

    Hi Carlos, I do the cap directly via AMS2s start parameters: "-pthreads 2 -fpscap 118". The last one is the cap just below 120HZ. The first one I needed since more threads were used from some updates ago, I experience some tiny micro stutters. I never had good fps cap control via nvidias driver. I get good control (meaning low latency, very accurate) with RTSS and the ingame (startup) options. (VSync off, freesync on, in my case). But be aware I don't have any experience with recording at the same time :) The above mentioned works perfectly for driving in my case.

    "-pthreads 2" how do I know how many physical cpu threads should I use?

    I have:
    AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
    Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
    G.SKILL Ripjaws V (2x8GB)
    ATX Gigabyte B550

    I have the idea my system can be a bit outdated by today's standards but at the same time I think Ryzen CPUs are better at multithreading, would 4 give me benefits?
    Also noticed more stutters capping FPS using nvidia, and just turned it off. But I know too much FPS for a system (even if the system can provide it) can lead to some extra ms of input lag due to higher strain on the system, for me it's better to run at a steady pace even if it's slightly lower FPS.
    I will try 120, I can't imagine trying 118 because OBS is recording at 60 and if the numbers aren't even, the recording gets a lot of stutters while the game looks normal.
