Hi everyone (I'm French so sorry for my English) I'm new backer, I've AMS1, such frustating for non-VR on this previous title. But now... AMS2 in VR is wonderful (GTX 1070 / i7-4770 non-OC both) for my mid setup. I play everything on Medium with a Lenovo Explorer for now with SS 170% in SteamVR if I remember. Just thank you so much. I notice an issue, when I use Centrer VR, I'm too far, I bind FOV/POV adjustement to back/forward but it's do nothing in VR Game. I notice the proximity arrows seems very small (I set 1080p on main resolution in the game) Stay tuned, just HUGE thanks to REIZA
What VR set are you using? Oculus Rift, VIVE, other? Asking because I am considering going to VR from triple screens.
he wrote Lenovo Explorer. This is a Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) Headset. With you specs i would suggest a Rift or a Rift s. SteamVr takes more recources, and WMR headsets add a little bit more as using a wrapper over SteamVR.
I’m using an oculus rift s, it’s running great indeed, all maxed out (first test, didn’t tweak yet to see what might be useless). With a pretty beefy pc though (i990k oc’d at 5ghz, 32gb ram 3200mhz, gtx 2080 super, ssd and all that good stuff), but in some other sims it struggles a lot, believe it or not. Full field extremely crowded lol, and keeping highest performance with some room most of the time (tested with oculus tool). In most sims (but iracing) if I am to see more than 10 cars it SHUGS!
I am so jealous you guys can play karts much better than I on my 34 inch screen. For karts you really need a 360 vision. :O
I haven't tested on the monitor yet to have a look but on the rift s is reaching 80fps (the max it will go anyways) most of the time with all maxed out. When the field is crowded it drops to 40fps for some seconds, but when everybody gets its space it gets better. Probably in an oval race with the same things going on would not exceed 40fps unless I dropped down some settings. What you said is really surprising though - Which headset?
I am getting ok performance, but is there anybody willing to post their settings in VR? I have a similar system to Wilson and I can't seem to get the performance of people with lesser spec'd systems. When I do get it above 90 consistently I am getting micro stutters, mostly in the corners, at least that is where they are most noticeable.
