Just use "custom"... works just fine already. Check other threads for recommended FFB settings in-wheel and in-game.

FYI, any DD-wheel should work in AMS2 using the "Custom" wheel configuration (Not to be confused with "Custom FFB Flavor").

SimuCube1 / SimuCube2 Tips (may be applicable to any DD)

Before setting up controller in AMS2:

    1) Reduce Power Output of DD-system for axis-assignment and calibration process.
Warning: Strong constant force may be applied during the controller setup process. Alternatively, It should also be possible to enable the e-stop for safer axis assignment.
    2) Reduce FFB Gain in AMS2 (to about 25%).

Steering-Axis Assignment: Rotate wheel to full-lock, then reverse. Axis should then register. Using a soft touch at the stops may help the detection process.

Steering Calibration: Rotate wheel to the left to 100% of travel (including stop-ramp zone), then to 90-degrees. Be precise in reaching the hardware’s actual rotation setting.

Use FFB settings (AMS2) at default levels (LFB 50 / FX 50) initially.
    • Note: Low Force Boost (LFB) controls Bump / suspension forces.
    • Some level of LFB setting is needed to achieve full FFB effects.
    • FX controls Tire Scrub effect / Brake-lock effect / Engine Vibration effect.
    • For Best results: Striking a good balance between the Gain & LFB settings is key.

    Hi Guys,
I downloaded AMS2 and tried the sim out on my Simucube1. I could not get any FFB through the wheel.. The wheel would feel firm (can rotate, but heavy) in the menues, but once I loaded a car and track combo; FFB would non existent (no feeling at all) when the race starts. Can you please help.
    :(:(

What do you have the ffb-Gain set to in AMS2? /// SimuCube Power?

That might have some effect if your system is faulting due to over-current and your settings are too high. Another possibility is related to possible USB over-load issues. Otherwise, I'd expect to have some FFB activity when the session starts.

Yay I can steer left and right! Thanks

No FFB but that will have to wait till tomorrow now.

But did sneak a quick outing in a Caterham 7 around Cadwell since I’m lucky enough to own one.

I did not get my FFB to work at all due to issues with control assignments. I could get my DD2 recognized, but no Heusinkveld pedals. Then I set the controls to Custom, I could set the pedals, but the wheel FFB was mostly lost, very strange.

It seems the option "separate pedals don't work yet. I'd like to choose DD2, and then separate pedals and just calibrate the Sprints.

    Hello,
    Thanks for the response. Simucube settings FFB @ 60% / Current @ 12A. AMS2 FFB Gain 100%, FX 50% and LFB 0%.
I try messing with the settings you recommend and give an update...
    Thanks again

I own a Simucube 1 and assigning controls was a bit tricky in terms of steering, but worked as mentioned in #7. Problem for me is, that I don't have any FFB. I just cross checked with rf2 and FFB is working there. Is there any special thing to activate in AMS2 to get FFB with the Simucube 1?

For those of you having No-FFB conditions, it appears Granite Devices and Reiza have been in contact regarding improving SimuCube support but, I don't know what that involves.

In the meantime, I suggest deleting the player save-files in the Documents folder. It will require setting everything up again but, it has helped others with the No-FFB condition. Note, it may require more than one attempt.o_O

    Navigate to: Documents / Automobilista2 / savegame / 9052224 / automobilista 2 / profiles (Delete save-files in this folder)
