I'm trying to set up my triples but it's like it wont take effect. The angels and bezels are being calculated correctly but the FOV is not, I still have to go to options when on track and edit the FOV from there and the lowest setting is 35 and I'm usually at 22. Did I miss something or is this by design?
Can you try this calculator and see what it recommends for your set up ? Compilation of iRacing tweaks, links and general information. I have 171 hFOV so divide that by 3 is 57 so i input 57 into AMS 2 and it works perfectly You need to remember Madness engine uses hFOV not like other Sims that use vFOV
Oh, thank you my man. I wondered why it didn't feel off with 35. With that calculation I should be at 37. Anyway, I still think it's strange that the game doesn't calculate this for you once you've punched in all the numbers.
Hi guys, I see the distance to screen field but cannot edit it. Its not greyed out. Does any of you guys know if this is normal?
@Andrew Caron Yeah, seems to be the same for everyone. You can edit triplescreensettings.xml in Documents\Automobilista 2 as a workaround for now.
Hey guys, I've trie dediting that file, and sure enough the changes show inside of the AMS settings - but when I drive the FOV view is wildly extreme even though all the settings are correct.
I think you need to select the FoV you want to use under the "Options" - "Camera" - "Field of View" - "Cockpit Camera". Remember that if you input 50 degrees it will mean 3x50=150 degrees accross the 3 monitors.
Can you force start the game to single screen? I've unplugged my triples but now in single screen on bootup all I see is the left monitor view so I can't navigate to the video settings.
Guys, I need the most basic guide ever on setting up triples. I really want to play this sim and don't want to use surround.
