Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

Applicable Settings: Enable "authentic" or "off" in the gameplay's authenticity sub-menu

Report: SC, TC, and ABS were STUCK ON, even though I forced them OFF since day 1 in my Menu settings. While I did not assign these functions to my keyboard or steering wheel in order to cycle them while on a lap as @John Hargreaves has done, I did follow @NuScorpii advice and cycled them through and re-saved my settings a few times - This bit of fiddling did absolutely seem to get rid of the driver aid/stability issues mentioned.

Steps to reproduce: Launch any car/track with "authentic" assists on or all assists "off", drive laps. Exit and cycle through the assists off/on again. Re-try on same track with same car and see if assists have switched off finally.

Applicable Settings: Single race with practise and qualifying on.
Report: Crash the car in qualifying tearing of front wheel. Return to pit and let the se ssion end without returning to the track. Continue to the race and the car wheel is not repaired visually but is fixed mechanically. This is a hangover from a bug in Project Cars 2.

Report: Every time when switching to "advanced setup" it goes to "default". Previous modifications are lost and restored with default. But switching from setup to car modifications are taken and working. Switching from car to garage everything is lost.
Steps to reproduce: as descripted above switch from car to setup and take a look on your previous setup changes

Report: "Look back" camera is in the wrong place one cannot see much looking back, one sees his back wing.

Report: P4_MCR2000 tyres and brakes are much colder than P4_MRX_Duratec even after a few laps. You end up beeing about 3 sec slower in P4_MCR2000 than in P4_MRX_Duratec. Also P4_MCR2000 is about 3 sec slower than it is in AMS 1.
Also the cars have the same steering lock values but in testing P4_MCR2000 seems to have lower real values.

Report: Lags / Stuttering after backgrounding sim to open up for example Firefox oder OBS for Streaming. After Backgrounding the Sim and re-enter the Game has stuttering. I have to close the whole Sim and restart it to get rid of it.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Start AMS2 2. Go on any Track 3. Exit with Windows Button or anything else. 4. Re-enter in AMS2 5. Drive and see stutter

issue Car tested v8 at Kayalami Historic and p1.
When abs set to on ( in hud view ) the brake will apply itself during a turn, relative to steering input (feet off brake pedal) causing complete loss of control.
When abs set to on or off and a full heavy brake applied ie emergency stop the car will do a full half spin.

Report: Set Quali time at minimum 5 min. When the time has expired and you are passing the finish line the message is displayed : "Session time remaining 4:18" which is wrong because all the 5 min of quali have passed.

Report: Get out of the pits in quali do laps until the time expires at the end you will get wrong message and flag: "Race over"

Report: Do quali sesion when the time has expired and you are passing the finish line do not press to go back to the pits wait for a few second the menu will become unresponsive any option you will click will not be selected. Also if you wait for the lap to finish it will not help menus will still be unresponsive and you will have to close the game with CTRL+ALT+DEL

 

Since the second update of v9.3 this morning the u turn effect appears to have been sorted, however the brake will apply itself when steering is turned

Report Brake Assist When brake assist set to on in Hud , then steering is applied the brake also is applied relative to steering input .

Applicable Settings: car setup, Drive train - LSD tuning
Report: It seems like some cars dont react to LSD changes at all. This was tested on F3 - 309, changing lock/angles doesnt change behaviour. Same for geared LSD, the open geared LSD behaves like a locked clutch LSD for example which shuold be nearly a complete opposite. Did same test in Ultima race which I could tune at will with noticeable changes.

Report: AI is not forced by the simulator's Marshall to give the place back after going beyond the track limits. In a previous post you can see I was forced to give back 2 places at Imola.

Report: While waving the car the clouds get extra detail, like somebody is turning on and off a clarity slider in Lightroom for example. Also some clouds just evaporate.

Report: While in setup menu "SLOW BUMP" option is enabled but values cannot be changed.

 

Most insignificant thing possible but "Fixed low-res AMS2 shortcut icon when generated by Steam" fix that was included in the latest patch didn't work for me, still ugly and weird.

Even deleted the old icon and summoned a new one, still ugly and weird.

My monitor/tv is at 4k res if it helps.
