Guys, don't you think AI in V8 brake too late (in most corners), or I might be braking incorrectly in these cars? If I follow their brake distance, I'd definitely lock my brakes 120% of the time

 

AI in many classes can outbrake the player, not to mention outpace, outcorner and outaccelerate. Since the devs fixed a lot of the essential raciness of the AI in 0.8.2, I think (hope) they are now moving on to balancing all the classes relative to the player, and fixing the terrible T1 behaviour.

 

For pure fun I love the Formula Vee around BH Indy.....Just heaps of slideways fun....

 

Copa classic, the Mustang@Interlagos the longest one (can't remember it's name). High speed curves between the 3 and 4 gears at the limit, very funny!

After playing this solidly for a month and post the new ffb update last week, my new favourite most played combo’s are
Formula V12 at Adelaide 1988 and Imola 1988
Formula Reiza at Jerez ( no Senna chicane )
Super V8’s at Snetterton 300

Once AMS2 gets the AI and slip streaming up to standard and consistent, I believe the V12 combos will be my personal favourites of all time in sim racing !

 

Its my first experience with a simulator... so... my favorite car and track right now, is F3 (309) on Interlagos (brazilian circuit).

To be honest, I'm loving the Roco 001 on just about any track at the moment. So much fun to chuck around and learn the many tracks I've never raced on before.

 

Gen3 M2 car around Imola has me hooked at the moment. Great fun in VR as well.

Caterham 620R at VIR. This car has to be kicked.

 

Not a priority and introducing new interfaces is unlikely anyway, but I would love to be able to save complete quick race setups in like a 'Favourites' list.

It would help with remembering favourite car/track combos but even the other settings too, some tracks are better in different weather / time of day situations than others, and certainly currently different track and car combos I find require different AI settings too, plus even sometimes not wanting qualifying and just to jump into a race.. ...If I could have a load of different 'favourites' set for all those scenarios would be pretty cool.. ..suppose the danger is means less likely to experiment...

 

P3 Roco at Imola 72 is incredible! The AI are way less twitchy, when they get close to the walls and borders since yesterday’s update. Drop the down force to 2 and fun times ahead. AI are running high wing even at 110% and lose all their time on the main straight, but in the corners they are all over you, makes it great fun.
Only faults now are - non existing slipstreaming and a warning laps one and two the AI trip over the darker tarmac on the main straight and curves leading to the first hairpin. When I say trip up, I mean they trip up, like a kid walking down a wonky paved high street! Same in the V12s too, they spin out going down the hill, right hander curve before the final bus stop type section before the main straight.
