Is there any way to turn off the dirt buildup on the car bodywork? It's really poor how it appears after only a couple of laps then disappears again. It's totally unrealistic and I'd prefer not to have it anyway. It's just a distraction that doesn't add anything to the racing. Cheers.

As a photographer I love the dirt and grime on the cars, especially the endurance races.

I like the concept. It just needs more subtlety, I think.

I raised a bug report regarding this. 2 laps into a Super V8 race my car looked like it had done a 12 hour enduro..

It's on accelerated mode now as it has been for months. Helpful that we don't have to actually drive for 12 hours straight to see (and provide feedback on) the "full" dirty effect level.

I agree, it still looks a bit odd to me, as if someone has saved the dirt layer but 90deg rotated. There are very clear shapes in the dirt that don't correspond with the bodywork. I'm sure it will get a coat of looking at but there are probably more pressing things higher up the list before v1.0

Such as rain drops and wipers!! When those are done, I expect some attention will get paid to dirt build-up.
