The 1969 Formula Vintage with the added aero is starting to remind me of the "glory days" of Mario Andretti:

with traction control especially i don't see any reason that wouldn't have been the standard at the time. perfect upshifts everytime. the downshifts work great too, but i dont know how many/if any drivers went fully automatic irl.

im very psyched to see the formula vintage, but i do think there's still one giant hole in the lineup...the formula TURBO, ~1300bhp monsters of '86. totally different animal from the sanitized ("made sane") formula classic we have in game...

It's the beta forum that you will have access to only if you have the beta.

My idea! My idea! I suggested that! Me me me! I should totally get in the credits for that! Maybe have my name on a blimp going around over Mendig...

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    ...

    Sorry.

Ahem. Amazing looking stuff as always, Renato. It all looks superb, but I'm particularly excited for a professionally modelled Cadwell Park and, of course, the '67/'69 F1 cars. I didn't see the V12/DFV options coming! As a minor point, though - am I right in saying that you've picked just about the ugliest car from those seasons, the Cooper T79, to be the model for the nose? No matter! It's not like you see that bit when you're sat in it anyway.

If you're like me you'll probably spend most of your time looking at the back end of your opponents' cars, rather than their front end ends in your mirrors as you sail to victory after glorious victory.

I really hope this will not start a series of "simcade" arguments just because the simulation becomes more realistic and cars aren't killing you for no reason.

For some reason there's a big community prefering unrealistic difficulty over authenticity.

I'm extremely excited and are once again blown away by everything that Reiza delivers and are planning for the future.

dont see that happening. throttle control is clearly a factor in current F1 but the FE is a little ridiculous. maybe some cars in 2014 were that bad, but they also wouldve had less torque & hp.

I do recall seeing it proposed somewhere, might well have been your post :) Your name should fit in well a 69 grid, let´s see if some team is willing to sign you up :)

The nose, or rather the "mouth" has a couple of variants as you can see from this shot:

one week after play AMS , I must say that this simulator is not good ... is absolutely fantastic , I'm still trying to convince my mind , that is not real , it's virtual, but do not believe me.

AMS is easily my favorite title to drive - even though I like to play in VR, I still come back to AMS again and again. :)

Well don't mean to sound jealous or anything, but I suggested it as well (though it was way before automobilista was even announced) :D[IMG]

Now in a more serious note, I'm really happy to see these become a reality, as you can see I've been looking to drive them for quite sometime. Thanks Reiza!

Oh, wow! Comment retracted, they look amazing there!

And Guilherme, I meant suggesting that they do a '69 variant with aero. Good job if we've got you to thank for suggesting a '67 car in the first place though!

I'm really curious to see the 'old' versions of Imola, as I have no idea what they are like xD The road circuit around Mendig Flugplatz also sounds really fun : 3 The fictional Bannochbrae Circuit from pCARS is one of my all-time faves, maybe this will be a bit similar?

I do have one thing to ask though: Can you guys please implement a way to see a track's length in the track selection screen? I asked for this months ago and it's pretty standard in Racing games/simulations, so I relly don't get why Automobilista shouldn't have it...
