Nope, 70s (and older) - early 90s F1 had basically no real pit speed limits. It's basically a 90s invention. Not kidding.

Watch at 1:58 and 3:26. (You have to watch on YT directly because reasons)

Modern tracks should feature their pit limits of course, but historics had no pit limits at all. They were pusing through until the pitbox.^^

The pit lane limit was introduced after the deadly week end of Imola 1994... Few remember that Alboreto in his Minardi lost a wheel in the pit lane and almost killed two Ferrari mechanics and tire bounced across the track

There are more race series than F1 and more tracks than the top-level ones used for F1...

The initial topic was about F-Retro and no track in the 70s had pit speed limits in general. Other series also started to use pit speed limits in the 90s first. This is not F1 exclusive. Like said: Modern tracks should indeed utilize reasonable pit speed limits, but historic tracks weren't using them.

F1 indeed used pit speed limit 1993 the first time in practice only, other american series started it around 2 years earlier.
Overall, old pre 90s tracks didn't feature any pit speed limit at all, not depending on the class.

Yeah. Tactical pitstops really only started in F1 in the early 80s. There was no regular visiting of pits in F1 before then.

I know I am reaching here.. A nice to have for the future would be retro pit crews as well.. Something looks a little off being serviced by your crew wearing Darth Vader helmets and kit..

Does any one know what steering torque range I should aim to for Formula Vintage and Formula Retro..?

I use a DD2 which is capable of max 25 Nm of torque.

Most if not all the racing cars have no speedometer. I just think we should accept that pit limiter is a developer license for all cars to allow playability or just remove the pit lane speed limit requirement when certain cars are used no matter what the track. Remember that pit lane speed limit is a "series" requirement not a circuit requirement

Renato posted some days ago, somewhere in the forum that this is a provisional solution till Reiza could fix/update it.

There will be a Cascais version without the "S" in the future? Current track is great, but that last fast section is incredibly challenging.

90's version would be nice. This (real world) modernisation pretty much ruined the great track. Especially that chicane at the Tangue curve is super annoying.

man these Formula Retros are insanely good and they are nice to drive against the Ai.. I found some time today to set my pedals up for heal and toe as they were previously set for sequential GT driving.. I wish pedal box's had quick and easy adjustments..

Out of all the sims I have driven, mainly AC and ACC, a little rF1/2 and PC1/2 and now I just tried RR and iR the past week or so..

I think Reiza is the best in handling and FFB.. Congrats to whoever is developing the physics..

I love what they are doing..

In these videos by John Berger it's clear where the AI are loosing time at Silverstone and Hockenheim

Well its sure nice to hear something positive from somebody else who can enjoy the beasts!! .
Not the easiest with still a few issues but yes can be a fun challenge, They wont be getting worse Im sure.
Hi Damian In lasts nights run they were damned fast on the straits and still a little slow on corner, and entry. Not bad at all, traded places and it was nice that an ai messed up a turn, then he caught me up lol:)
How was there pace out front with you?
I still think they vary from track to track by some margin.

Formula Retro also my favourites. At the moment - the ‘gen 1’ part is very intriguing...

Been VERY quiet here all week; not a single Reiza post since last Friday?
