Not noticeable for me. I’m perfectly comfortable with VR and camera shake in both. Pcars and AMS2. In pancake mode it is still not top notch indeed. In Pcars it is much less present.

Dude...it don't think it is your business to tell me what kills my immersion and what does not. It's annoying, especially with (good) headphones. In some of the cars it can happen a lot.

I am not affected by any of the camera problems that people seem to have in vr.

But i surely won't tell them to "get a grip".

    Thx.

Just out of curiosity, the Mercedes #3 and #4 don't have driver names on them (it would be Klaus Ludwig for the #3 and Bernd Schneider for the #4) but #5 and #6 have the correct driver names. Also, Leaderboards are not available for the Mercedes.
Can't wait to take that Mercedes in to his natural habitat, the Nordschleife

Interesting finding for me related to head movement. In the old system I used 15 and 15 G-Force. Both quite tame and very little excess movement, but certain cars and track combinations would produce jumpiness that was a bit much/somewhat unrealistic/a bit nauseating.

With the new system, I should be using 85 since the scale is inverted. I tried 85, then 100, then 0 and, maybe it is placebo, but ended-up liking 50 the best. It, not surprisingly, provides a nice balance. Just suggesting that you might want to try "default" 50 before concluding that the two extremes (100 or 0) are unacceptable and therefore the new system doesn't work adequately.

I came to that same conclusion. 50 seems to be a really good setting.

Do you need to delete a folder/files manually following the install of the update to make sure everything is updated right?

I had a go in the Mini, not sure if it is a 1ltr or 1.3ltr but either way we could do with adjustable gearing.

From the homologation papers for 1964 Group T (touring) Cooper S 1275 and Cooper S 1000

    1275:
    1st- 3.2, 3.07, 2.56 & 2.57
    2nd- 1.916, 1.875, 1.78 & 1.72
    3rd- 1.357, 1.307, 1.24 & 1.25
    4th- 1.0
    Final- 4.786, 4.35, 4.26, 4.133, 3.765, 3.938 & 3.44

    1000:
    1st- 3.2, 3.07, 2.56 & 2.57
    2nd- 1.916, 1.875, 1.78 & 1.72
    3rd- 1.357, 1.307, 1.24 & 1.25
    4th- 1.0
    Final- 4.786, 4.35, 4.26, 4.133, 3.765 & 3.938

    AMS2:
    1st- 2.000
    2nd- 1.417
    3rd- 1.115
    4th- 0.889
    5th- 0.889
    Final- 3.444

In slower corners it feels pretty good, agile if you get the braking right (although I feel like it is similar to the Copa Classic FWDs in that it is too unstable under braking.) In high speed corners it feels a bit meh to me, in all the videos I've watched they look pretty nervous and agile in faster corners (albeit on modern historic tyres) with people countersteering even on what seems like full throttle. It is particularly noticeable at Goodwood and although we dont have anywhere quite like that you can see them doing it a bit at Brands Hatch Paddock Hill Bend, also at Surtees occasionally they get a bit out of shape or Craner Curves at Donington. With an abrupt switch to off throttle at Brands T1 ingame it does a little jiggle but doesnt really require countersteering.

I had the wheel bug as well. Driving in the mini (new one) and got hit by an AI in the rear. Wheel turned uncontrollably to the right. Could not race further because the wheel forces to the right and could not turn it back, the FFB immediately turned it back to the right again. So I exit the race and started a new one with an other car. Pressed drive in the menu and same wheel behaviour. Tried 3 other cars but all the same. I Needed to restart the game to fix it.
Track was Oulton Park. 24 AI same cars. Latest Beta version.

I've always run world movement at 50 in PC1/2/AMS2, and strangely enough head movement at 50 is roughly the same.

Yes, very good VR game, but unfortunately with VR headsets with canted displays like the Pimax we need to turn on an option called parallel projection, otherwise we would get double vision. Problem is that parallel projection eats up tons of FPS. So we hope that the devs will patch this (like rFactor 2 devs did), so that we don’t need this option turned on and would get much better performance.
Unfortunately VR didn’t get the love it deserves in recent updates yet.
Still hoping for future updates though.
Best racing sim out there IMHO...

I'm excited about the Pro Car and the DTM cars but ...

Wiki Mercedes 190E DTM: „It delivers its power via a straight-toothed six-speed gearbox to the rear axle with a mechanical differential lock. Shifting takes place without using the clutch at full throttle.“

Why does the Mercedes 190E 2.5 DTM in AMS2 only have 5 gears when the original has 6?

I don't think this is necessarily related to the latest patch. A number of people in an online race on Tuesday had this exact issue in the Copa Truck Mercedes, including me. I haven't had it with any other vehicle before or since though.

Well, the classic Mini has 5 instead of 4, so maybe Reiza put it in the wrong car?

    ;)

Brain dump of cars issues. Some/many of these are in the forums somewhere already.

    Lotus 23:
    • Its old-school steering ratio reminds us why the driver animation needs so desperately to be able to be turned off while leaving the wheel in place--the enlarged hand is literally blocking your entire view as the car progresses around sweeping corners
    • Windscreen texture is an issue
    • Car floats over the surface
    • Rear tires show through bodywork
    Classic Mini:
    • Should gear ratios or final drive be adjustable?
      • Which track is big enough to need 4th gear
      • Stray 5th gear issue
    Mini JCW:
    • UI should clarify that car has sequential transmission
      • Is final drive supposed to have any shorter options?
      • Not sure if flat upshifting is working 100%--there is a decent amount of rev flare happening that makes you want to lift slightly before shifting to avoid (downshifts work fine)
    • All-weather tire appears to be fitted even when it is dry
    Mercedes 190/BMW M3:
    • Total or severe lack of engine inertia (as compared to 60's TC and Mini JCW that have it very nicely programmed)
    • Sounds issues (detailed by others elsewhere)
    • Window textures/transparency issues (some too much, some too little)
    • 5-speed or 6-speed?
      • H-pattern or sequential?
    M1 Procar:
    • Missing tire sounds (perhaps more complicated than just that and could be related to Group A sounds issues)
AI speed calibration needed for all.
