The Champions League (Discord Server Link! / Join the Champions League Discord Server!) welcomes new participants for our fourth season of historic Formula 1 racing in AMS2. This season we will use the spectacular Formula V12 cars that approximate vehicles from the 1995 Formula 1 season.

We encourage drivers of all skill levels to participate. Some of our members have been sim-racing for decades, while others are newcomers who have never participated in a league before. Our goal is to create a fun environment for everyone. We also encourage drivers to join our Discord. The discord is a good place to share setup advice, discuss AMS2 driving tips, notify friends when we are hosting informal multiplayer sessions, etc. We also run a voice channel during official races and qualifying sessions.

    Key Information:

    (1) The season spans 12 total events, with a week off after every third race. Only a driver’s best 9 results will count for championship points, enabling drivers to miss events as necessary. Championship points will be calculated following the 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system. Drivers must remain in the lobby until the conclusion of the race to receive points. Official results will be posted to the Discord. During off-weeks, we will hold unofficial, non-championship events using different cars and tracks.

    (2) Races are scheduled to begin on Fridays at 6:00pm US Eastern Time / 2000 GMT. Multiplayer lobbies will launch 60-90 minutes before the race is scheduled to begin and with an open qualifying session that lasts until the time of the race. Race distances are set to approximately 100km, which equates to 20-25 laps at most tracks. Damage is off, mechanical failures are on, tire wear is normal, and fuel usage is accelerated (2x).

    (3) Events will primarily be held in dry (clear or cloudy) conditions, with official weather selected randomly and announced on the discord at minimum one week prior to the race. Qualifying weather will be set as unchanging and will be the same as the race conditions. The within-game time for all sessions is set to 14:00, with weather and time progression set to normal speed. Weather for the first three events are listed in the schedule below.

    (4) We welcome all participants, but ask that drivers maintain respectful on-track behavior. Dirty driving, blocking, disobeying blue flags, using discriminatory language, or any other unsporting conduct will result in penalty, disqualification, or prohibition from future events.
