The new update adds several Classic cars, brings the popular Mini Challenge JCW as it is in the top class of the UK Mini series, two Kart circuits, along the usual package of new features, fixes & improvements.

One of these features is the initial revision of the HEAD MOVEMENT setting for cockpit cameras (renaming what was before "WORLD MOVEMENT"), although users will still have the option to use the original legacy head movement if they so prefer - please check the descriptions in-game for more details as to how best configure this option to your preference.

Edit: I am not really fond of the new head-movement. My wheel is static but the virtual cockpit moves. I had to go back to legacy. However, I do like it with open wheelers tho

Update looks good, I’m a big fan of any AI improvements and looks like there are quite a few.

Whilst the game is ultimately the most important thing, I am a bit disappointed that the content of the ‘classic touring cars’ pack is so random - the Group A cars are a nice pair but the others are more one-make series and those 60s cars really don’t fit together IMO - from the previous description, I was hoping at least one BMW v Ford 70s era would be covered (CSL v Capri or 2002 v Escort).

I hope Reiza can clarify if they expect to be adding more content in this area in future, either paid or DLC, or is this all the “60´s/70´s vintage touring cars” referred to in the May blog?

Anyway, looking forward to the blog on Monday and to getting to give the game a go this weekend - thanks for working so late on it.

First impression: the update is awesome. The new cars are a absolute blast to drive. The Mercedes is especially beautiful. Love the addition to the Championship mode. The tips in the advanced setup section are very helpful. Have to play around with the settings of the new "Head Movement" option because I felt a little bit dizzy while driving the Mini at Brands Hatch. I didn't feel that way with the other 3 new cars.
Great update, Reiza. Thank you. :hurrayreiza:

I'm hoping the M1 gets a Porsche friend like in R3E.
I'm looking forward to trying the Merc also but I'm afraid that the FFB is springy!

This update looks like a huge amount of work and will give me a nice distraction from some sad sad news I just received :( I am now the last of my family for my Mum to have :(

Great update and cars, but also the Formula Retro and Vintage feels improved as well as the Montana just from the cars I tried. The 'Fixed error on Montana engine position' is missing in the change-log btw and it's a blast to drive now:)

But I miss tyre- and ambient-sounds. In the M1 I only hear the engine, nothing else. In the Group A I only hear an on/off-tyre-skid-sound on the very edge of limit. For example with the Retro everything is there, so seems car-related.

Thanks for the enormous and comprehensive update, it's really appreciated. I've had a couple of hours to play with it and it's great! The new cars all look magnificent, are a joy to drive, and sound absolutely bloody ferocious. The M1 Procar is a particular standout for me, it's got the lot. The Group A's are both awesome tail happy fun to drive, and the Mini Challenge is everything the Lancers used to be but aren't any more. I like the new head movement schema too, turned it up to 90 and it works as advertised.

Of course there's always a few flies in the ointment:
    • The Mini Challenge AI is massively overpowered, even at 85% difficulty they pull away effortlessly on every straight.
    • The Group A are very slow off the start and probably a bit underpowered after that.
    • The Lotus floats 10cm off the track in external view
    • The new cars have severe issues with tyre sounds. In test day there's tyre scrub and skid noises as expected. You can drive the same car in a quick race and there's zero tyre noise, even if you let the rest of the field pass and have the almost silent track to yourself.
I'm hoping these things are fixable in a quick patch once the devs get 5 minutes to catch their breath!

So many awesome updates on the list, but the most important ones--that every car in the game handles and feels better--are not even enumerated.

A few tweaks with the new cars (already reported over in beta) and some AI calibration and we should be in a very happy mode.
