Yup, known and subject to be adressed!
Monza 10k was a blast to drive, but after today"s small update, the ovals are extremely bumpy. Even with ride height maxed out, cars like Formula V10_Gen 1 punch through and get thrown out of track.
Good spot. Obviously advertising probably doesn't mean much, but the Alfa logos also showed up on the Brabham BT46.
The Monza oval is extremely bumpy. To get high aero cars running there, you have to stiffen them and add packers/bumpstops + lower wings and you need to run a low lane, or it will be completely hopeless due to the insane amounts of downforce and centrifugal forces.
Would have been nice if the devs would offer some notes, saying that they changed the bumps on track. In the first moment, I thought that my wheel was damaged.
Set a time on TT today, will never be able to reach this laptime again because of the new invented bumps.
I'm not even sure, that there was any change to the track, tbh.
I always had quite some rattling on the Oval (which was to be expected), tho.
Did some laps/races this morning. Now, after the tiny update, track is completely different in oval sections.
Do we know what the 2nd update was for?
I got a 150mb update this afternoon.
Wondering if we could get an additional track layout for Monza where it's just the oval?
Tried many tracks and as Renato said the performance on other tracks is still good however…….Monza does need optimisation in vr that I am sure will come in the near future because the track is excellent. AI however are horrific at Monza especially the 1st and last chicanes. I am at 105% difficulty and have them at 100% aggression but not had time to fiddle with this to see if they are better at other settings. Anyone else got them at a good level
thanks in advance
I did a few lap on it yesterday and opposite to you, i found it to be too tame, so i was hopeful after reading this that had fixed it, but no, still too tame, grab the Brianza track in RF2 to see what I mean, those bankings are insane to drive on.
Let hope we can see Autodroma de Sitges-Terramar in AMS2 one day!! that NEEDs to be raced on!
The banking at Monza was demanding but not to the level of the banking at Avus.
See Jean Behra ,,,,,
I would be surprised if a f1 car could survive the bumps of the oval
I thought the bumps were perfect not violent but could feel them nicely through my shakers, would be disappointed if this patch people are talking about makes them undrivable now with shakers.
Just got home to find a 112MB update on steam, but with this new steam system there is no link to patch notes any more, does anyone know any info on this?
On behalf of all the Thrustmaster sf1000 uses, thank you thank you thank you for doing a great job, with the wheel it's amazing keep it up I hope you all are staying safe, and the Moana track is fantastic.Baker
I was just thinking the same thing.
Did the Thrustmaster SDK get globally updated? Or just the sf1000? Is there better support for the Ferrari 488 challenge now?
We ran a dedicated multi race last night, bathurst GT1's 60 min night race with 2 pitstops, 14 drivers. When it rolled over to race it no longer says Ready when the player clicks start, so you cannot see who is ready to start, one player bounced back to the pits at the start because i suspect he had not hit ready. Can we please get that functionality back?
Also every time a player came in to pit, in and out, everyone got frame stutters
I am not sure if it is because it was at night or not.
I cannot wait until we get a simple restart race option, this is killing our MP races
The stutter depends likely on fact that you have set full pit crews. Had a similar situation with AIs. If you reduce the pit crew option it should not stutter anymore... Maybe some optimization in resources by Reiza could help on this in the future?
