Automobilista 2 V1.6.3.0, IMSA Track Pack, Endurance Pt2 & Lamborghini DLCs RELEASED!

I think the release notes failed to mention the enhanced modeling of Lucas Electrics in the sim.

 

Mechanical failures logic isn't that advanced yet!

 

What are you hoping someone will do? Beg or plead. Please, please try it...please...my wife is in tears in the front room now she's heard you're not playing AMS2 - and my nephew refuses to eat. His therapist says we should beg you to run the game before he gets malnutrition.

Install it or don't. No one but you cares. I don't even like my nephew. Although his drawing is better than yours.

What's all the silly melodramatics and emotion for? The game hasn't gotten worse. The update was free. You'd already uninstalled it. Your behaviour makes no sense.

I understand to have a youtube channel for sim racing you need a speech impediment or silly accent, and a lobotomy and they have to get emotional about everything. But there's no requirement for that here.

If you think something is good, bad or whatever, just say it in a matter of fact way. "I think the tyre wear graphics could be better" or whatever. Like a functioning grown up. The guff about your nephew just makes you sound ridiculous.

 

The way I see it, it's basically there to show that Reiza still very much plans to add one and are allocating a dedicated space for it in the main menu

 

The F-Junior, F-Vintage, and F-Retro cars now have a tachometer that goes up in steps. This matches how these tachometers worked back in the day. For an example from the real world, see how the tachometer goes up in steps in the Lotus 49 in this video between 1m09s – 1m12s:

Since version 1.5, the progress you made on your sim is absolutely awesome, and this last 1.6 update is a master one.

I don't care about GP4 was the best driving simulator or LMU / Iracing is better and all these comparaisons, because what you offer to us is truly a great simulator developed with love and passion, and the feeling to be a driver in a race is more and more strong with all the updates you gave to us.

Thanks you all guys for you work and to always believe that your way is the way many of us want to share with you.

I guess you are just trolling at this point now. I you are not though them I suggest you try and change the tone of your posts, for yours and all of our sakes.

Shaders MUCH better, now cars are similar to track.

And particles at MEDIUM and ULTRA are really nice. And sparks nice in VR.

Great update! And yes, wet tyres are ugly as hell and appears stoped in open wheels at some speeds. Hate It.

I quickly tested the update and I can imagine the work needed so thanks to the Reiza team. I do have a few observations though. First of all, the gear change animation (when automatic gearbox is selected) is still not back. Before the deployment of the Hitech formula, this animation was present and I miss it. Another thing I noticed is that the AI sometimes gets stuck to our car, which is very unpleasant. This effect had disappeared but it seems to be back.
Finally, I am surprised not to see the Detroit street circuit included, which is part of the IMSA calendar. I don't know the reasons but it's a real lack when you have an IMSA license. Speaking of licensing, the 2024 Stockcar Series calendar included the Belo Horizonte circuit and El Pinar. Can we expect to see them arrive in the future as Reiza has the Brazilian Stockcars license?
This is a problem in my opinion, Reiza has 2 official licenses and on these 2 licenses, tracks are missing.
Finally, the preset is interesting but if I create an RX championship, the Joker Lap is not configured. So it would be nice if the presets could be used for championship mode.

I congratulate you on the enormous work accomplished. The LMP2s are great, the 3 circuits are very well modeled. I can't believe that we can include 47 IA without a big performance degradation: it's a real feat. A big Thank

 

I just enjoyed the first two hours with 1.6 and oh my what an evolution and Upgrade.

Thank you Reiza for this insane update, worth the wait.

Now onto LFM

 

For those still finding things odd with FFB, I would suggest reducing damping. I have a custom fanatec profile saved with damping at 0 using the Default+ as recommended by Marc Collins I think? 1.6 in my opinion seems to be slightly more damped out of the box maybe? So further in game damping my need adjusting to your preference! I would highly recommend trying the Ginetta supercup, really nice to drive now.

Also really pleased to see the camber glitch in replays has been fixed as that really, really tickled my OCD!!!

The one area I would still like to see improvements on is understeer FFB, for me personally this is only currently dealt with on a visual level with no change in FFB (for me) when front wheel grip is lost!

On the whole, very impressed with the current progress!

Have your own experience and then comment not the other way around.
It's slightly laughable how people take for gospel the words of someone who has never even driven a car and has an insane cult for AC when even ACC moved away in many ways from it.

 

Had been announced as a work to be initiated in 2025, but UI was meant to be released before that. This is why.

If you’d like to respond, it would be more productive to stick to the topic of the game instead of turning the spotlight on me. You know, the world’s an interesting place: what you enjoy might not appeal to others. Shocking, I know. Demanding that everyone conforms to your preferences, though, feels a bit… ambitious.

As for the comment about my nephew, it was an hyperbole. A rhetorical device used to exaggerate for emphasis. I thought that was obvious, but there’s always someone who can turn a simple remark into a full-blown Shakespearean tragedy

 

Have liked trying out the new cars in this update so far. Looking forward to trying out the rest.

How about rather than trying out your adjectives on here you actually play 1.6 for yourself? Then, report on your own experience.
