    Hello AMS veterans
Havent played AMS for a while but wanted to compare with AMS2 now. But for some strange reason it doesn't run any more. Somtimes it crashes directly when startin with messages like gMotor2 error: cant create vertex shader or some C++ error
But mostly crashes while trying to load a track (any game mode) without any messge. Event Log (hope this is the correct translation, in german: "Ereignisanzeige") is stating missing modules nvd32dum.dll or NPClient.dll.
No idea for what reason those files are needed or what programs are installing them.
    What i did so far:
    - removing all mods
    - checking game files
    - removing AMS completely and re installing
    - re installing DirectX (coming with the game)
    - (re) installing every C++ redist package i could get my hands on
    everything without success.
Is there some start.log where i probably could get further information what's going on? Couldn't find any.

I do really like AMS2 but because of my ancient PC i can do hotlapping without problems, but more than 6-7 AI opponents isn't really fun.
So i would like to be able to play AMS again, until i can afford a more powerful CPU.

Any further ideas what i could also try?

    Any help would be welcome

    CHEERS

    Hi,

I had similar problem after I replaced my NPClient.dll for FaceTrackNoIR with newer, 64-bit version from OpenTrack. AMS wouldn't start anymore, and after trying many things I finally saw errors in Windows event log:
Faulting module name: NPClient.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x526cd113

Replacing dll with the original one fixed it for me.

For above errors I don't know, but you may also try reinstalling GPU drivers.

Well, meanwhile the problem has solved itself (sort of)...
By having had problems with another game (VCREDIST related) and fixing those, AMS is running again too.
But couldn't inspect exactly what version was causing that problem. Every existing versions had been tried out before, but some coud have been installed not quite correctly.
Only a tip to look for to someone having same problems...
