Do F3 cars require using clutch pedal?

I see 6 gear sequential, what does it mean?
Is the clutch pedal required only on H-pattern cars?

I'm struggling to keep up with AI in normal settings, after a long time playing with the clutch pedal (manual clutch enabled), I accidentally shifted without it and nothing wrong happened...

 

You need it to get the car going from a standstill, but can shift wihtout it. There are a few sequential cars that you need to manually blip the throttle for on downshifts like the Formula Trainer, GT1 and the SuperV8, but the F3 blip themselves.

If I'm not mistaken the 301 is sequential stick, the 309 sequential paddles, but somebody please correct me on this if I'm wrong.

 

Both 301 and 309 use seq stick.

 

Sequential basically means that you've got to shift but don't need a clutch to shift.

 

btw the 301 is broken, it shows tc and abs as active in the setup screen with the usual values 1-10 but when driving tc has the range 1-60 and abs 1-100, and changing one or the other doesn't make any difference because, as the 309, both cars don't have tc or abs.
