Am I missing something here? Running 4x tyre wear and fuel and 25% race distances with FUG2, and the AI start on soft and don't pit. I can't make the finish on mediums. Their laptimes stay consistent all race too. Anyone else noticed this?
From what I understand the AI do have tire wear, but haven't been programmed to pit for tires yet. So instead of pushing the tires till failure, they'll drive around with the tires at the lowest level of grip until they have to pit for fuel. For this reason I've been running x4 fuel consumption and x2 tire wear, effectively forcing the AI to pit at the correct times while not forcing you to lap with tires at 30-10% of life left. Hopefully by July and the Oval racing DLC this will be corrected.
