I am glad Reiza added the Ligier to the class. But I have to say I am disappointed that the Sigma P1, probably the fastest car in class for players in most tracks, is still useless at the hands of the AI. Having 7 different cars from 4 different chassis working properly would be perfect. I hope Reiza doesn't abandon their origins (I mean, Brazilian exclusive content) and don't turn their back to this class. The Ligier makes believe that they won't, but the Sigma has been around for a while and the AI could never drive it properly.
I am not Brazilian, but I really love the Brazilian classes (shout out to all of those who loves the new lmp2... Try the P1 to P4 classes! They are just as good!), that I only got to know thanks to this game. Anyway, I did an amazing multiclass race yesterday: P1 gen2 and GT3 gen2, 24 of each, AI 105 high aggressive, to try out the new Ligier p1. Since I remembered reading this post I checked the cars distribution at the end of the race. In top 10 (where I wasn't) there were like 3 or 4 Sigmas, more than any other car. I would say the distribution of each car was indeed quite even. I was fighting for p6,p7 most of the race, but crashed at the end and finished p13. And to add into that: I was fighting for half the race against a Sigma in what was an amazing and extremely fun fight. I felt faster than the Sigma in straights, but it was extremely hard to pass. At some point, other AI (another p1 car type, not sure which one) catched me, stayed behind for a while until it finally overtook me, stayed there for a while with the same problem I had with the Sigma, and finally overtakes the Sigma and in a few laps he is not anymore to be seen, while my overtake attempts to the Sigma were not successful. I overtook it a couple of times after a good exit in Moss Curve using the higher speed in the straight, but then I always lost the position back in another part of the circuit. Not even with traffic could I gain the position and maintain it. The fight went on until the Sigma pit before I did. In conclusion, I find the P1 class extremely healthy and fun, and I also (personal opinion of course) am not afraid of Reiza leaving behind it's Brazilian roots, I always get the feeling of them being quite proud of having brought Brazilian Motorsports to a larger public (like myself ) and I trust we will still get new stuff in future updates, hopefully the new stock cars come soon next year
Have there been any news why Reiza removed the official number plates from all real life skins? I‘m afraid the partnership has come to an end
Yes for sure. But in previous releases there where also the official number plates on the real live cars (for example: https://ams2cars.info/files/images/responsive/cars/ajr-honda-p1-1920.jpg) That is gone with 1.6
Well, that's a good question. But as pointed by @Racinglegend1234 , they just added the Ligier, with some of the IRL liveries, and the AI drives it just fine (actually the fastest P1 in their hands). So why on earth can't the Sigma behave properly in single player mode? It's been in the game in an embarrassing state for years now.
I didnt try the 1.6 yet but I agreed that in most brazilian tracks Sigma Is quite slow compared to ARJ and Ginetta (!). Another big question is why not use p1gen2 for the preset...
