Hi there, first I tryed out the F1 Lotus 79 on Jacarepaguá track, I was not able to get heat in the tyres, it was like I drove on ice. Then I tryed that car on SPA 93 and it is totally diffrent to drive, more grip and heat in tyres. Why is that?
What were the respective track surface temperatures? Temperatures can vary widely from track to track even when using the same weather and time of day, since they are tied to the time of year used for each circuit. Most Brazilian circuits seem to default to early spring, so the temperatures are in the low 20 C, whereas the European circuits seem to default to mid-summer, giving high temperatures in the 40 C range. This will directly influence how much heat conduction there is from the tyres to the tarmac and how easy it is to keep the tyres heated up.
