I am using the Fanatec shifter that can be configured for H-Pattern or sequential along with the Fanatec 2.5 BMW wheel and while I can map the shift commands correctly in the wheel setup section and in the Fanatec driver App, the paddle and sequential shifters do not work in car with sequential shifting specified while the H-Pattern does in a car equipped with an H-Pattern shift. I suspect that there's been some kind of change in Fanatec setup but unfortunately, I have had a long absence from gaming due to an extended illness and seem to have lost track of the proper process. I'd appreciate any assistance. John
I found the same issue recently. Spent way too much time trying to figure out what was up, but eventually found the solution was to change from selecting the Fanatec in controls, to selecting Custom. Be sure to note your FFB settings, as they will default once you change it.
I have same setup and similar problem, except the sequential part doesn't work in car. Button mapping and the manual side of shifting works fine. I to haven't been on the system for a long time until a week ago. I've went through everything and still doesn't work. Does work just fine in Race Room sim. I will try the above option and see it corrects the issue.
Wierd I have same setup and works fine. Are you all using the new fanatec all in one app, or like me still on the old driver setup ?
I use the final legacy drivers. What I found is that when selecting Fanatec as your wheel, the paddles are hard coded. You can remove the bindings for up/down shifting and they still function. That's when I realized going to custom would remove this and sure enough all worked correctly again.
I can also confirm that this fix works. Corrected my issue as well. Just wish someone from Reiza would explain why. Thanks
I have just checked and i have also always had my wheel set too generic rather than fanatec - can't remember why but maybe this was the reason in the dim dark past !
