    A simple question really. I read that the old V10 cars could reach speeds of 230mph on the main Start/Finish straight at Monza.

    In AMS, I can barely achieve 200mph. Was this intentional, or will the F-V10's be getting faster?

    Most common top speed was between 340 to 360kph, on rare occasions a McLaren or Williams would dip into the 360's.

    200mph = 322kph
    360kph = 223mph

    I can't find the topspeed of a 2002 Ferrari V10, they could do 19,000 rpm, that's a little higher then in AMS
    Topspeed at monza 340kph before 200m mark on the straight,

    @SaxOhare Just out of plain curiosity - is that your driving position/height in cockpit view?

    As for the subject - with a proper setup (low downforce etc) F-V10 seems all good in terms of speed :) Definitely not the 2004 season car, but somewhere between 2002/03. :)

    @hex Yes, this is what it looks like driving this car, isn't it?

    Not at all, to be honest ;) Maybe you're not aware that you can lower driver's seat position in game, or maybe you simply prefer to drive this way - which is totally fine, but in real life it's not how drivers see it from the cockpit :)

    In real life you can barely see the top part of each front tire, and you couldn't see the Reiza logo on this car.

    That's like laying in bed and look to the world at 344kph,
    I even gained an extra 4kph in this low drag position ;)

    You drive in what driving position you want mate.You could even drive with your balls draped over the steering wheel
    As long as YOU enjoy it.

    That's why you need huge balls to drive an F1 car :)

    The firts pis the seatjng position is too high and the second is too low

    Driving with your balls over the wheel could cause a tangle in sharp bends and cant be recomemded :)

    F1 teams usually used (use) special wings specific to Monza. So, a simple comparison might be difficult about the Top Speed.
    From 2002 season though we can see the difference of the wings on each circuit here. :)

    Hamilton can just see the top of his wheels when he looks over his steer (35 sec in this video).

    Yes. I personally love this video, though it's old and not so great quality:

    2002 F1s were doing around 360 kph for the fastest cars, the ferrari in quali did 353 kph.

    I guess I will never be an F1 driver, I couldn't even see the track.
