in-car sound very low

Just recently purchased-installed and finding the in-car sound is very low, difficult to hear. I have adjusted the options... outside the car it's fine but inside the car it is just very low and not sure what else to adjust.

Any suggestions?

All I can think is if using headphones there is a setting in audio for headphones mix , try it out
