Will this help nVidia users as well? Because if not i don't see them spending dev time on something that only benefits part of their audience.

Yes it's free open source and works with NV cards 10 series and above.
    Supposidly easy to implement.

nVidia version only works on their latest cards only.

nVidia 10 series and above or latest only? Latest would be 30 series.

Edit: forget it, I found it. 10 and above according to the AMD website. I'm all for it then :)

Well, most game developers are already implementing it and it should be relatively simple as they say themselves.

it does not use deep learning, we should focus on cutting edge technology, even if this means leaving the inferior species behind /s

I'm thinking this is something SMS will need to impliment on the Madness engine that Reiza uses. Let's hope that happens soon.

I thought Reiza had full control and can make engine changes as they can and need.

Honestly I'm not sure, perhaps they can, perhaps they can't. But if they can, they would need to have the know how on how to do it. We have no clue what the dev tools SMS gave Reiza looks like and what it allows them to do.

Eg: If you look at the Unreal Engine that many game studios use, support for new features need to be added by Epic (eg: DLSS/FSR/Lumen/Ray tracing) before the studios using the Unreal engine can impliment that into their games. So who really knows.

Honestly given the GPU shortage and demands of VR, I would really love to see the following implemented at some point in AMS2.
    1. DLSS 2.1 and FSR
    2. SPS or SMP implementation
    3. And finally mesh shading (wishful thinking)

Here are the FSR studios partnered to use FSR!

and if you jump to 9:47 he mentions shimmer (something AMS2 has) gets amplified by FSR :( FSR doesn't replace AA but works inconjunction with AA.

I'd add NVIDIA Reflex to that list.

Right but even with FSR Ultra Quality preset there is very little loss and an almost 40% or higher bump in FPS. I would take that performance increase in a heartbeat.

Tom from Moore's Law is dead just talking saying it take one Dev about an hour to implement FSR into a game  "hilariously little effort" his words.

Come on Reiza @Renato Simioni @Gringo can this please come to AMS2?

Someone at work said the same thing today, that a developer implemented it as a test and it took 2 hours all up. If all Thai is true and there are no downsides then it seems like a no brainer for Reiza to do so.

It may even be a way of atracting more users to just try the sim.
Sadly it won't do much for me as my NV1060 is cpu bound.

Maybe temper your expectations a bit in term of image quality in case you expect it to be a god tier upgrade:

DLSS 2.1 is being tested right now for VR in a bunch of games.
I'm really looking forward to it. It's a game changer.
