    This happens on other tracks as well...
    I hope they are working on the AI because other than that the game is nearly perfect

    Taruma Chicane:

    When overtaking an AI before the chicane, it is completely blind for situation, does not care about the walls and falls into some kind of madman-mode, rushing in from behind and rather crashes than let player go. In this case, player is also being taken out of race very often, because between the walls within the chicane, there is no space to avoid a car which gets thrown back from the barrier. Above that, when this happens in lap one, you also get exaggeratedly braketested by car in front, so that there is no chance to survive.

    That is a general issue in AMS 2: AI which was overtaken by player before narrow curves always wants to do some strange counter attack although there is no space for doing so and provokes a crash. It gets even worse if there is a barrier and you have a car in front, too.

    AI are 10km/h faster than the player down the main straight, doesn't matter if you're tucked in behind them or not, they just pull away and gain 0.5+ sec without fail.

    • Session Distance: 15 laps
    • Weather when the issue was observed: Dry
    • Player Tyre: Slicks
    • AI Tyre (if known to be different from player): Slicks
    • Type of session when the issue was observed (practice / quali / race): All
    Mid uphill section and through the penultimate corner the AI just slows down to a crawl for no reason.

    Steps to reproduce: tyre wear 3x.
    AI pits every 3 laps, just when my tires drop oly 25% wear.

    I didnt see this in other classes

    Alright, more classess tested and this didn't happen.. I suggest you look at F classic gen 3 AI tyres and see what's going on.
    EDIT: happens in more tracks only with F classic gen 3.
    Can anybody else please try it to gather evidence?

    AI has no speed down the straights and a lot of speed in the corners, it feels like I'm driving an LMP1 on the straights but when it comes to the corners it feels like I'm driving a street car in comparison to the grip of the AI.

    The AI are doing dry lap times on a wet track. Lap 2 of race is being done in 1:24-1:25 by the field

    AI are simply far to fast for the player to compete. After only 3 minutes the fastest lap is a high 30.3, which is simply impossible as Fontana's current race lap record is 30.900, set in 1997, while these are the 1995 season cars. I was previously testing in conditions identical to the above stated but with strength at 101, and the laptimes were sub-30 seconds. This may be a side effect of AI not being able to suffer from dirty air like the player does, allowing them to maintain full grip in the turns and set impossible times.

    2 things should be fixed asap:

    - The AI blocks/races player on it's in- or outlap like crazy in qualifying, does everything to ruin a fast lap of other car, does not respect blue flag rules, no matter what values you set within the custom AI file. Rather kicks player off track than let him pass easily.

    - AI never gets penalties, it can cut corners and ram other cars without any consequences.

    It has been a little while since I have played AMS2. Has the rubber banding been removed yet where if you pass a car, it no longer has any interest in battling you and has much slower lap times?

    Pardon me but what you are saying is the opposite of rubber banding, rubber banding is the AI catching you no matter how fast you are or waiting for you when far ahead. I have not encountered any rubberbanding myself and if evenly matched they will fight back.

    My apologies then, I guess I used the incorrect terminology. I do recall seeing this posted a few times over the years, so it wasn't just me but yeah, guess I will have to re-test and try it again.

    Sorry, but I frequently do 30.1 in Qualifying versus AI. Please do also check the Time Attack top times of that very track...

    • Sim Ver: v1.4.3.0 RC
    AI cars brake on the front stretch turn on every lap, even when they are alone.

    The Mini's are off my pace by at least a second at all tracks except Brands Hatch Indy, and I'm 2 seconds off the pace in an online setting...

    The ai is incredibly slow on all ovals in openwheelers. By lap 2 i am in first and i am not exactly a great driver. Any weather, any time. They are far too slow. I have to intentionally set up my car to be slower to have fun with them

    AI can use slipstream since latest release candidate update, but still does not overtake resolutely enough, so that 2 cars still go side by side for a long time, blocking the whole track.
